Making it in Marbella Episode 2 Recap
Matias and Miah Confront Robert
The second episode of Making it in Marbella opens with a meeting involving Eric, Miah, Matias, and Robert. Eric aimed to extend an invitation to Robert for the management team, as promised in episode 1. However, Miah voiced her disagreement, stating that Robert wasn’t ready for such a position due to his unprofessional conduct towards his colleagues.
Robert acknowledged his past mistakes but suggested that he lacked support from Matias and Miah. He mentioned that they often “downplay” his successes and ambitions, even while he generates revenue for the company.
In a candid moment, Miah addressed Robert, stating:
“I’m telling you that you’ve been affecting my own morale lately. And that’s largely due to the discussions we keep having to have. It’s about the way you treat people, and not just me, lots of our colleagues are on my side. And you seem determined not to change. Some people have actually quit because of it.”
Miah elaborated in her confessional, stating that communicating with Robert felt like “arguing with a brick wall”, and without a serious conversation from Eric, the situation is unlikely to improve.
Villa Las Fuentes and Villa Bellini Listings
Following their confrontation, Miah and Robert proceeded to their respective listings. Miah showcased Villa Las Fuentes, a magnificent 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom estate measuring 1490 sqm, priced at €23,500,000, offering a commission of €940,000. Post-showings, Eric called for a team meeting, encouraging everyone to enhance their performance and consistency. Damla Yaraman felt singled out, but Eric clarified his remarks were meant for the entire team.
Later in the episode, Eric contemplated whether he should retain Damla in the company due to her frequent absences and inconsistent approach toward her responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Matías and Jessica Hammargren ventured to assess their next listing, Villa Bellini. This property features five bedrooms and five bathrooms, extending over 444 sqm, priced at €3,995,000, with a commission of €239,700. The episode concluded with a public viewing of the villa.
