Understanding Golden Seeds in Elden Ring

Golden Seeds play a crucial role in enhancing your Sacred Flask’s healing capabilities in Elden Ring. Given the punishing nature of the game, where every health point counts, locating these glimmering treasures across the vast landscapes is essential for your survival and success.

The lore behind these items is fascinating; according to the game, Golden Seeds were scattered by the Erdtree itself after the Elden Ring was shattered. This event marked the end of an era for the Erdtree while symbolically planting the seeds for the next generation of warriors—Tarnished individuals striving to unite the Elden Ring and ascend as Elden Lord.

You can find Golden Seeds primarily in three ways: they’re located at the base of ethereal Golden Trees, dropped by defeated Tree Spirits, or obtained through quests provided by NPCs. Many of these seeds are readily available in specific areas of the open world, while others will require additional exploration and effort to acquire.

As a player, you’ll discover a total of 42 Golden Seed locations scattered throughout the Lands Between. Prioritizing the accumulation of these seeds significantly enhances your gameplay experience.

In addition to your initial Flask upgrades, consider selecting a Golden Seed as your Keepsake during character creation. This is particularly advisable for casual players; however, experienced gamers may opt for different Keepsakes that also provide benefits.
