Major title change at WrestleMania XL is a no-brainer, former WWE writer says (Exclusive)

WrestleMania XL, taking place on April 6-7, will showcase a number of highly-anticipated title matches, including Seth Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre. Vince Russo, who served as WWE’s head writer during the late 1990s, firmly believes that The Scottish Warrior will emerge victorious over his longtime rival at the event.

Despite his best efforts, McIntyre was unable to defeat Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023. His quest for the title continued, but he was once again unsuccessful in capturing the gold during a singles match on the January 1, 2024 episode of RAW.

Despite uncertainty surrounding his contract, he also mentioned reports stating that the 2020 Royal Rumble winner has no intention of departing from WWE.

“If Drew doesn’t go over, I might stop watching the show (…) The only thing you gotta keep in the back of the mind, Chris, with that one is you hear a lot about Drew’s contract. You think so [McIntyre re-signed]? I hope so. Okay, then that’s a no-brainer [McIntyre winning],”Russo said. [9:09 – 9:39]

Some people, such as Russo, believe that The Best in the World should officiate the match as a special guest referee in addition to CM Punk serving as a commentator.

Vince Russo’s WrestleMania XL Prediction for the Uso Brothers

The Bloodline is set to make a significant appearance at WrestleMania XL with The Rock and Roman Reigns teaming up to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on April 6. Reigns will also defend his title against Rhodes on April 7.

At another part of the two-night event, Vince Russo predicts that Jimmy Uso, a member of the Bloodline, will face defeat against his own brother Jey Uso.

“I would think they gotta put Jey over, no?”[2:22 – 2:25]

Since becoming a solo wrestler in 2023, Jey Uso has solidified his position as one of WWE’s leading good guys. In the meantime, alongside Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso has continued to support Reigns as a sidekick.
