Major Changes Coming to the New League of Legends System

Update on Feats of Strength in League of Legends

Riot Games is poised to implement significant changes to the “Feats of Strength”feature introduced in Season 15.
Lead Gameplay Designer Matt “Phroxzon”Leung-Harrison announced that the objective of achieving First Blood will be removed from this challenge.
Season 15 also introduced various new elements, including the Atakhan boss monster and the addition of Tier 3 boots as a reward for completing Feats of Strength.

In the ever-evolving landscape of League of Legends, Riot Games is gearing up for a pivotal adjustment. Following the rollout of Season 15, the studio is making strides to refine the newly introduced “Feats of Strength”gameplay mechanic, showcasing its commitment to player feedback and ongoing game balance.

This mechanic, part of the Noxus-themed Season 15 update, tasked players with completing two out of three objectives to earn powerful rewards, including the coveted Tier 3 boots. Initially, these objectives included securing First Blood, taking the first turret, and eliminating the first three Epic jungle camps. However, amidst ongoing player response analysis, Riot Games has decided to retire the First Blood requirement in forthcoming patches.

Patch Changes Overview

Riot’s patch updates not only aim to enhance gameplay but also respond dynamically to community engagement. The initial objective shift will not be enacted until patches 15.2 or 15.3. In addition, there are several notable changes to the Summoner’s Rift environment:

Bloody Roses
- Slightly reduced spawn rate from Gloom
- Slightly reduced spawn rate from Atakhan’s Pit
Armored Advance/Chainlaced Crushers
- Shield Amount: 10-120 (scales with level) + 4% max health
- Shield Cooldown: 15 seconds

Swiftplay Adjustments

Atakhan
- The thresholds for Atakhan’s Ruinous Form to spawn have been adjusted to increase his appearance rate.
