On August 19, 2022, a tragic shooting incident in Los Angeles resulted in the death of Lul Pab, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo. Pab owned a trucking enterprise called A&S Express Carriers, as well as a French bulldog breeding business named Supreme Exotic Frenchies.
This shooting was reportedly orchestrated as an act of retaliation against Rondo, stemming from the murder of rapper King Von in November 2020. Reports from HotNewHipHop indicate King Von was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta following a confrontation with Rondo’s entourage.
In a recent development, five individuals were apprehended by federal authorities on October 24, 2024, connected to the investigation into Lul Pab’s murder.
According to XXL Magazine, the accused include Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston. These individuals are reportedly affiliated with the hip-hop collective known as Only the Family, or OTF.
Prosecutors have asserted that a member of OTF allegedly offered incentives to anyone in the music scene willing to kill Quando Rondo. Additionally, it was reported that the expenses incurred by the accused were charged to a credit card linked to OTF, which was founded by Lil Durk.
The suspects face multiple charges including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, involvement in a murder-for-hire leading to death, and the use of a machine gun during a violent crime resulting in fatality.
In a related turn of events, Lil Durk was arrested the day following the apprehension of the five suspects. XXL Magazine has reported that he faces charges of murder-for-hire, with further legal updates anticipated. As per the latest information, he is expected to be moved to U.S. Marshals custody from the Broward County Jail shortly.
Quando Rondo escaped unharmed while Lul Pab was fatally shot
Lul Pab’s untimely demise occurred during a shooting incident near a gas station in 2022. Known as Saviay’a Robinson, he was shot by three individuals who approached in a white vehicle, according to reports from XXL Magazine.
Lt. John Radke of the Los Angeles Police Department informed ABC7 that the motive behind the attack remains unclear since both Pab and Rondo were simply filling their gas tanks at the time.
After being transported to the hospital, Pab was pronounced dead due to his injuries. Rondo honored his cousin with a tribute post on Instagram about two days after the incident, which was later removed. An official statement from Rondo’s representative provided the following details to XXL Magazine:
“Quando was present during a shooting yesterday evening that led to the tragic death of another young man. He sustained no injuries from the shooting and is safe. We request that his privacy be respected during this time.”
Remarkably, Lul Pab was set to go to trial on RICO charges just one week prior to his fatal shooting. These charges, which were filed against him and ten others in 2019, included allegations of theft, fraudulent financial transactions, and more.
The defendants faced an extensive 71-count indictment accusing Pab and two others of being involved in the robbery of ten vehicles at the Chatham Parkway Collision Center in August 2017, as reported by Savannah Now.
Lul Pab was also reportedly linked to two local cases involving accusations of fleeing from law enforcement, burglary, theft, and child cruelty. He was preparing to plead guilty to a charge related to evading police, stemming from an incident where he was pursued by Seattle Police from Georgia to South Carolina.
