Katie returned alongside Bohdan to join the engaged pairs as they prepared for their impending wedding ceremonies. She and Nick took the opportunity to clarify their past connection formed in the pods.

During their discussion in episode 10, Katie mentioned that Nick fit the profile of someone she typically dates, emphasizing that age wasn’t an issue for her. She expressed that he had given her butterflies and was at the top of her list for three days.

Nick responded positively, stating that Katie was also his number one choice and found her very appealing. However, curiosity took over, and he asked why she didn’t explore their relationship further.

Katie explained her view that Nick’s maturity level was concerning to her. She felt he wasn’t fully engaged in their conversations. She stated:

“I thought we were on the same page, and then you mentioned, ‘My mom’s friends f**k with me. Older women like me.’ At that moment, it felt like you hadn’t listened to a word I said. Plus, the way you objectified me, saying, ‘I think you’re sexy’ on that date was unsettling.”

In response, Nick clarified that his use of sarcasm is a big part of his personality and that his comment about sexiness was intended in a playful, not serious, manner.

“I’m content with my progress. I’ve gained maturity, become more socially aware, and learned to choose my words wisely. I’ve grown significantly as a man.”
