Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 5 Recap: Hannah Claims Nick Lacked “Truthfulness” Regarding His Appearance

Hannah and Nick were among the numerous couples who got engaged in Love is Blind Season 7, which premiered its initial six episodes on October 2. Their engagement took place in episode 4, followed by their first meeting in episode 5.

Hannah, who preferred athletic men, thought Nick fit that description because he mentioned his interest in football and fitness. However, upon seeing him for the first time, she felt he wasn’t quite how she had envisioned. She expressed in a confessional:

“He described himself as like a football player, bigger, medium build, 5’11. What he said, I don’t think was really truthful.”

The episode also showcased other couples like Ramses and Marissa, and Leo and Brittany as they got engaged and met for the first time. Ultimately, six couples traveled to Mexico for their honeymoon, where they deepened their connections.

Hannah and Nick’s First Encounter in Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 5

After their engagement behind the wall in episode 4, Hannah and Nick prepared to meet face-to-face in Love is Blind episode 5. Hannah anticipated Nick to be “hot and suave”due to his background in football and fitness.

She admitted that her biggest fear was him being very small, though she was more concerned about whether he would find her attractive.

When they finally met, they embraced and shared a kiss. Nick then kneeled down and proposed to Hannah once more, and she accepted the ring. He praised her appearance and fragrance.

Nonetheless, in a confessional, Hannah revealed that Nick did not match her expectations visually, stating he had misrepresented himself as an athlete. She felt insecure about his height, remarking:

“When a guy is smaller than me, it’s not even a me thing. But I know men start to feel emasculated by that.”

She noted that Nick was a foot shorter than her and reassured him that he was indeed beautiful when he compared himself to her.

Other Highlights from Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 5

In this episode, Leo proposed to Brittany, expressing his certainty about her and his inability to envision a life without her. She immediately accepted. Similarly, Ramses presented flowers to Marissa and proposed, to which she also said yes.

It was then time for Leo and Brittany’s moment. Leo professed his love, yet Brittany hesitated, saying she wasn’t ready to reciprocate immediately. Thankfully, he assured her she could take her time. However, a Love is Blind disclaimer revealed that Leo and Brittany were not selected among the six couples to proceed to the honeymoon in Mexico. They chose to venture on their own trip to Miami but ended their engagement weeks later.

When Ramses and Marissa met, they immediately found each other attractive, sharing a kiss and stating that seeing one another felt surreal. Marissa expressed her excitement with a scream once the doors closed.

All engaged couples then headed to Mexico for their honeymoon, during which they began to connect more intimately. The episode also highlighted cracks in some relationships, notably between Alex and Tim, where Alex took issue with Tim proclaiming his love for his dog over anything else.

Nick was also unsettled by Hannah’s emotional conversation with one of her girlfriends, feeling excluded. Hannah explained that it embarrassed her to show vulnerability in front of him. She later confided in a confessional that while Nick initially did not meet her expectations, she found comfort in him over time.

Towards the episode’s end, Hannah was put off by Nick playfully riding some novelty ducks on the beach, calling it “the ick.”

New episodes of Love is Blind Season 7 are set to release on October 9, exclusively on Netflix.
