What happened in Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 2?
At the beginning of episode 2, 36-year-old tech sales representative Monica shared that she has a “typical type”when it comes to men, frequently judging them based on their appearance. This prompted her to join Love is Blind to find a partner without external influence.
Her first encounter was with electrician Stephen, who revealed he had previously cheated. He admitted to sliding into someone else’s DMs and emotionally cheating on his former partner. Monica appreciated Stephen’s candidness and admired his acknowledgment of guilt.
Meanwhile, Brittany and Leo contemplated the future of their connection. Brittany expressed that Leo was her number one choice, but Leo confessed he was conflicted between her and Hannah. This revelation left Brittany emotional, as she realized she was not Leo’s sole priority.
In another scene, Hannah reflected on her breakup with Nick D., questioning whether she had made the right choice. Nick D. felt disheartened to learn that other suitors influenced Hannah’s decision. Despite her doubts, Hannah conveyed a desire to keep communicating with Nick D. while also continuing to connect with her “twin flame,”Leo.
Garrett and Taylor’s relationship blossomed during their dates, with Taylor presenting Garrett an avocado tree to symbolize her vision for their future family. In return, Garrett gifted Taylor his father’s renowned homemade honey, and they both expressed that they could envision a life together.
Though Garrett worried that Taylor might judge him based on his looks, he felt it was worth the risk, as losing her was not an option for him. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Bohdan connected with Marissa, sharing his background as a Ukrainian immigrant raised by his Filipino father after his biological father passed away.
Bohdan expressed that people often misinterpret him due to his appearance, saying:
“I look like a white bread kid. So they just think, like, just probably some frat boy who got a job because his parents did something and had connections.”
Bohdan became emotional as he recounted his time in the Marine Corps and the recent war in Ukraine, which impressed Marissa with his authenticity. Conversely, she also formed a connection with Ramses, who opened up about his past marriage and shifting religious beliefs.
Garrett sent Taylor a sunflower bouquet accompanied by a note asking her to be his girlfriend. Taylor was pleasantly surprised and agreed. At the same time, Tim and Alex developed their relationship by discussing their backgrounds and family dynamics, which included Tim’s childhood memories and the loss of his sister to Lupus.
During one date, Taylor gifted Garrett a box of her grandparents’ love letters, reading a letter aloud to share her feelings. Garrett realized at that moment that she was his perfect match. He expressed his sentiments and proposed to her, with Taylor joyfully accepting.
“Oh my God, I’m shaking. I can’t even get up right now,”Garrett exclaimed.
Later, Stephen and Monica engaged in a conversation about politics and their voting preferences. Stephen discovered through an ethnicity test that he had significant West African roots, surprising him as he perceived himself to be purely white. This discussion enhanced their connection.
At the conclusion of episode 2, Tyler surprised Ashley A. by reading a heartfelt prayer he composed for them. As they enjoyed their meal and music, Tyler reaffirmed his love and commitment to Ashley A.
The episode wrapped up with Taylor and Garrett preparing to meet in person. Both felt anxious about the encounter, but Garrett remained optimistic, confident that his feelings wouldn’t change regardless of Taylor’s appearance. The episode concluded just before their long-awaited meeting.
