Love is Blind: Habibi Reunion Air Date and Complete Details

The eagerly awaited reunion of Love is Blind: Habibi is set to premiere on Friday, November 1. This Arabic makeover of the popular reality dating show launched on October 10, 2024, showcasing the journey of 20 singles from various corners of the Arab world who sought love without ever seeing one another.

In the spirit of the original Love is Blind, participants engage in initial meetings within private ‘pods’, allowing them to establish connections through conversation rather than physical appearances. The filming for this season took place in countries like Lebanon, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai, with the pods centrally located in Lebanon.

Love is Blind: Habibi quickly ascended the Netflix charts for non-English titles, amassing over 1.6 million views within just a week of its debut, marking it as one of Netflix’s standout international offerings.

This reunion episode will be the first gathering of the contestants since the grand wedding finales, offering fans a chance to witness unresolved issues and updates on the current status of each couple.

Returning cast members, including Safa Al Juboori, Mohamed “Mido” Gahed, Mohammed AlKiswani, Asma Sami, Chafic Yactine, and Nour El Haj, will share insights about their experiences and the evolving dynamics inside the pods.

Highlights from the inaugural season of Love is Blind: Habibi

During the inaugural season of Love is Blind: Habibi, 20 contestants hailing from diverse nations such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, and Iraq embarked on a remarkable quest to discover love.

Following heartfelt conversations without initial visual contact, six individuals successfully paired up, transitioning from the pods to an opulent resort for deeper connections.

At the resort, they were given the opportunity to meet face-to-face and decide whether to advance toward engagement or to part ways. Ultimately, only three couples reached the wedding day, with just one pair tying the knot.

Throughout their journey, some couples encountered personal and cultural hurdles, putting their compatibility to the test.

Karma and Ammar

Karma, a business owner from Tunisia, and Ammar, a dentist from Syria, established a strong connection in the pods through their shared appreciation for music and humor. However, their relationship faced challenges after their first meeting, as Ammar’s traditional values conflicted with Karma’s desire for independence.

His comment, “I would never allow my wife to dance,” ultimately became a significant hurdle for Karma, who valued her creative expression.

Hajar and Simo

Hajar and Simo, both entrepreneurs from Morocco, seemed to share a powerful chemistry initially but frequently found themselves at odds due to differing perspectives.

One intense confrontation at the resort nearly escalated to violence when Simo clashed with fellow contestant Chafic. Simo’s frustrations boiled over when Hajar remained silent during the incident, prompting him to leave the show abruptly.

Asthma and Khatab

Asma, an Egyptian entrepreneur, and Khatab, an Iraqi-Canadian architect, quickly formed a strong bond in the Love is Blind: Habibi pods due to their shared values. However, Asma eventually opted not to pursue a wedding, although their connection led them back to the resort.

But when Asma’s family hesitated to provide their blessing, she chose to leave Khatab at the altar, expressing, “Today is not the decisive day.”

Dounia and Chafic

Chafic, a Lebanese entrepreneur, and Dounia, a content creator from Saudi Arabia and Morocco, emerged as audience favorites. Chafic even declared his love publicly among the other men.

However, complications arose following an awkward encounter between Chafic and Noor, a past acquaintance, which introduced tension and ultimately led to their separation.

Noor and Mido

Mido, an Egyptian real estate consultant, and Noor, a Lebanese model, were each other’s second choices after their initial partners paired with others.

Their relationship faltered as they realized their contrasting personalities, prompting Mido to express doubts about Noor’s intentions. In a sneak peek of the reunion, he criticizes her focus on physical appearance, to which Noor asserts, “Noor is the best mix you can find.”

This unresolved struggle is expected to be revisited during the reunion, especially with Chafic offering his perspective.

Safa and Mohammed: Post-Marriage Updates

The only couple to actually marry on Love is Blind: Habibi was Safa, an Iraqi finance manager, and Mohammed, a Jordanian marketing manager.

Despite overcoming initial obstacles to secure their families’ approval for marriage, fans have noted that since the show’s airing, Safa and Mohammed do not follow each other on social media, raising questions about their relationship status.

In the reunion trailer, Mohammed’s admission, “Yes, I’m a jealous person,” meets Safa’s reply, warning, “there’s a fine line between jealousy and control,” suggesting they may be facing deeper issues.
