Recap of Love is Blind Habibi Episode 5

Simo Exits Abruptly

The episode began with the repercussions from the prior episode, featuring Chafic, who was still seething over Simo’s betrayal in informing his fiancée Dounia about his previous acquaintance with Nour.

Feeling that Chafic’s outburst was immature, Simo was disappointed by Hajar, who didn’t support him during the conflict. Although Hajar intended to discuss Simo’s behavior, he chose to leave the competition instead of addressing the matter with her.

With one couple gone, Asma and Khatab made their return after previously breaking off their engagement. In episode 4, Asma had displayed uncertainty during their face-to-face meeting.

Initially hesitant about Khatab’s proposal, Asma took time to reconsider. In her explanation to Khatab about her initial reluctance, she stated:

“I typically prefer more athletic guys, and I mentioned this in the pods. However, once I got to know you, I thought, ‘No, this is purely superficial, and looks can change. I change too.’ There are times I get fit and other times I gain weight. I don’t think this should define what I want anymore.”

Feeling unfulfilled by Nour’s type of attention, Mido confronted her about his dissatisfaction and hinted at departing the show.

After discussions with the other men, Mido resolved to leave, realizing that Nour wasn’t the right fit for him. In a confessional, he shared:

“I tried really hard to make her happy and ensure she had an amazing experience, but I received nothing in return—no feelings, no emotions, not even a bit of affection. It seems like Nour has feelings for Chafic. I don’t have the energy to continue this or say goodbye.”

Nour felt let down when Mido departed without a farewell. She confided in Chafic about her feelings, which sparked anger in Dounia, culminating in a fiery argument between the two. The fifth episode of Love is Blind Habibi ended on this dramatic note.
