Love is Blind Habibi Episode 3 Recap: Couples Get Engaged as Simo Faces Challenges

Following the launch of Love is Blind season 6 earlier this month, the Middle Eastern adaptation titled Love is Blind Habibi made its debut on Netflix on October 10.

In the third episode, participants began to transition from the pods to real-life encounters, with several contestants bravely taking the plunge into engagement. Khatab and Asma, Chafiq and Dounia, as well as Noor and Mido all expressed their commitment by saying yes from behind the partition. Notably, it was the first time the first two couples laid eyes on each other during this episode.

Amidst the whirlwind of emotional decisions, Simo found himself at the center of several confrontations. Initially, he clashed with Yasmin about her interactions with other pod participants. He also had a disagreement with Hajar regarding her thoughts on intimacy, and encountered tension with Chafiq after he referred to Chafiq’s match’s perfume as “stupid.”

Couples Who Became Engaged in Episode 3 of Love is Blind Habibi

The episode kicked off with Khatab and Asma eagerly awaiting the doors to open. When the moment arrived, Asma appeared a bit anxious, prompting Khatab to reassure her, stating she matched his expectations perfectly, albeit taller than anticipated.

Before departing, he left behind his handkerchief with his new fiancée. In a confession to Love is Blind Habibi, Asma, who was somewhat reserved upon meeting Khatab, admitted to feeling uncertain about him.

Chafiq enjoyed his interactions with Hajar, Noor, and Dounia. Noor even surprised him with a book scented with her perfume, accompanied by a note featuring the quote, “The favorite in your heart will be the most beautiful in your eyes.”Chafiq recognized the quote, as it was shared on his mother’s Instagram. Noor became emotional while sharing memories of her sister, who was devoted to helping those in need.

Hajar appreciated Chafiq’s willingness to provide for his future wife and admired his sleeve of tattoos. When spending time with Dounia, Chafiq expressed that she held a special place in his heart compared to the others. Moments later, he joyfully declared, “Dounia, I love you,”a proclamation that resonated throughout the common area.

This prompted Hajar to confront Chafiq, accusing him of being unfaithful, which he refuted, insisting he had been transparent about his feelings for Dounia. Eventually, he turned down both Hajar and Noor, choosing to propose to Dounia instead. He asked her to close her eyes while he pretended to change, only to surprise her by getting down on one knee and unveiling a ring when she opened her eyes.

After being rejected by Chafiq, Noor connected with Mido, who was feeling downcast after Asma chose Khatab. They shared heartfelt conversations about rejection, which strengthened their bond. By the episode’s conclusion, Mido proposed to Noor, and she accepted.

Conflict Involving Simo in Episode 3 of Love is Blind Habibi

Simo made an appearance when he scrutinized the book Noor had gifted to Chafiq. Upon wafting the fragrance from the book, he dismissed it as unappealing, calling it “stupid.”Chafiq took offense, reminding him that a person’s fragrance choice does not define their character.

Later, on a date with Yasmin, Simo inquired if she was dating other men in the pods. When she affirmed, he expressed feelings of inadequacy, prompting Yasmin to exit her pod and tearfully label Simo as “toxic”during her confessional.

When Simo was on a date with Hajar, he questioned her desires regarding their time in Miami. Hajar mentioned enjoying a slice of cake before starting a diet, highlighting her perspective on intimacy. This irked Simo, who criticized her viewpoint as “low level.”Hajar responded by suggesting they discuss things again when tempers had cooled.

All nine episodes of Love is Blind Habibi are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
