Season 7 of Love is Blind has concluded, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the reunion episode. The finale, Episode 12, aired on October 23, 2024, and featured the couples who made it to their wedding day. Sadly, Marissa George and Ramses Prashad were not among those who tied the knot. The couple ended their relationship after Ramses expressed that their energies were misaligned in the real world and that their bond didn’t translate as strongly outside of the pods.
In a candid discussion with Glamour Magazine on the same day the finale aired, Marissa reflected on their split, revealing that her mother’s instincts about Ramses were spot on. She shared that her mother had private conversations with Ramses, which revolved around his previous marriage and career status. Marissa’s mom suspected that Ramses might possess a ‘superiority complex,’ stating:
“She mentioned feeling that he had a superiority complex. Though she tried to be accommodating and nice to him off-camera, after discussing his ex-wife, she abruptly told him, ‘I’m done listening to what you have to say.’
Insights from Marissa on Ramses and Her Mother’s Observations
Marissa’s mother pointed out that Ramses was notably different from her daughter’s typical partners. She raised concerns about his lack of a college education and whether Marissa would find herself supporting him in their future together. Given Marissa’s pursuit of a law degree, her mom questioned whether Ramses might be interested in her for financial reasons.
Marissa acknowledged that her mother may have appeared overly critical of Ramses on the show. However, after revisiting the episodes, she recognized that her mom’s insights were valid and that she truly foresaw the potential dynamics of their relationship. Marissa elaborated on Ramses’ attempts to showcase himself as being more “progressive”than her:
“In our conversations, there was an element of moral superiority where he would say, ‘I don’t have a degree or other credentials, but I am more progressive and care more about societal issues than you do.’
She also added:
“In hindsight, I didn’t notice it back then, but I do now. My sister has already guided my progressive growth; I don’t need that from him.”
During the exclusive interview, Marissa, who is 32 and a practicing lawyer, shared her views on Ramses’ self-perception as a feminist, suggesting that he exhibited undertones of moral superiority. Additionally, she discussed her mom’s talk with Ramses candidly, acknowledging her mother’s imperfections and the struggles of parenthood. Marissa said:
“It’s vital for people to show more kindness. Parenting is challenging; she isn’t perfect and has her own personal growth to achieve. But that doesn’t indicate she despises her children just because she might have called me a ‘b*tch’ on TV. It’s outrageous; everyone has had moments of calling someone by unflattering names.”
To catch Marissa and Ramses’ story on Love is Blind Season 7, viewers can stream all episodes from 1 to 12 exclusively on Netflix. The anticipated reunion episode is set to premiere on October 30, 2024, at 9 PM ET.
