Love Is Blind alum Giannina Gibelli welcomes first baby with Blake Horstmann

On April 2, 2024, Love Is Blind star Giannina Gibelli and her partner Blake Horstmann announced the arrival of their first child. Giannina shared a heartwarming photo on her official Instagram account, cradling their newborn baby.

Giannina expressed her sincerest gratitude to her fans, friends, and family for their “love and blessings”in a heartfelt caption. She described the pregnancy and birth as a “dream come true”for her.

“His first breath took ours away. Meet Heath Orion Horstmann, born on Good Friday 3/29/24. Everyone is home happy and healthy — his pregnancy and birth were a dream come true.”

Giannina also expressed how her son Heath Orion Horstmann brought light into her life.

“Our lives are brighter, fuller, and forever better. thank you for all of the love and well wishes, Heath has so many people who love him, we’re parents!”

Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann made an appearance during the season 6 reunion episode of Love Is Blind, where they alluded to the impending arrival of their baby. In November of 2023, the couple had previously announced their pregnancy through a series of photos on their respective Instagram pages.

Despite appearing on different dating shows, Gibelli and Blake crossed paths on the first season of Paramount+’s All-Star Shore. Their relationship was made public in July 2022 and they marked their one-year anniversary in December of the same year.

During an interview with US Weekly on April 2, 2024, the Love Is Blind celebrity disclosed that giving birth was an empowering experience for her. Giannina Gibelli discussed her birth plan and how she had to adjust from her initial plan of having an unmedicated birth due to her body’s reaction during delivery.

Despite the common notion that pregnant mothers are scared of giving birth, it wasn’t the case for Giannina. She was thrilled to welcome her son Heath into the world, even though the delivery was challenging. Along with her partner Blake Horstmann, Giannina had taken classes from their doula to prepare for the birth of their child.

In a disclosure, the Love Is Blind contestant revealed her thoughts and emotions behind her decision-making process.

“You’re conditioned to think it’s this scary thing but even during the hardest parts I had the biggest smile on my face, I literally couldn’t hide how happy it made me.”

Giannina also expressed gratitude for her partner’s support, which helped her stay calm and feel “empowered”during the birth. When asked about Heath’s resemblance, she disclosed that Heath was a spitting image of Blake, her partner.

Despite their differences, Heath and Giannina may have similar personalities, as they both share the same birth sign.

Giannina considers Heath to be the ideal combination of herself and Blake. According to the Love Is Blind contestant, she had already chosen their baby’s name before giving birth, as she revealed to US Weekly.

“We wanted his name to feel unique and meaningful, it’s a name that’s grounded in nature and his middle name is connected to strength, bravery, and adventure.”She stated.

Currently, the couple is prioritizing their baby and managing their schedules accordingly. As new parents, Giannina and Blake are dedicating more time to being together as a family and adapting to their new family member.
