The fifth season of Love After Lockup reached its 44th episode on October 25, named Red Flags & White Dresses. In the segment featuring Life After Lockup, Kerok and Brittany engage in a conversation about their plans for marriage, which Brittany believes will facilitate her move to Texas. Previous episodes depicted their efforts to transition from Virginia to Texas to begin anew after prison, but Brittany’s request was declined, and Kerok’s application remains unsettled.
During this episode, Kerok and Brittany discussed the timing of their wedding. He proposed that if they were considering marriage eventually, why not do it sooner? He reasoned that this might help skirt the governmental refusal regarding Brittany’s permit, allowing her to relocate to Texas as his spouse. Kerok and Brittany’s Wedding Discussion in Episode 44 of Love After Lockup Season 5
Before proposing the idea of marriage, Kerok expressed during a Love After Lockup confessional that he had been continuously tapping into their savings. He was hesitant to secure a job in Virginia, given that he could potentially receive approval to move to Texas at any moment.
The couple later convened at a café to evaluate their financial situation. Brittany inquired what would happen if Kerok relocated to Texas solo and started earning money there. Kerok reassured her that even with an approved move, he wouldn’t go anywhere without her.
He mentioned that if Brittany didn’t receive a permit to move within 45 days, he would go ahead and marry her. Brittany expressed her desire for a grand wedding, but Kerok insisted that they should first tie the knot legally to begin the necessary processes before planning their celebration.
