Louis Puech Scigliuzzi Shares His Experience Meeting The Walking Dead Stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan
The Walking Dead has been a cornerstone of mainstream television since its debut in 2010. Though the original series has concluded, the gripping saga of brave survivors in a world overrun by the undead continues through various exciting spin-offs.
Currently, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon chronicles the adventures of the beloved crossbow-wielding character in France, while The Walking Dead: Dead City explores the dynamic between Negan and Maggie, two characters known for their intense rivalry, set against the backdrop of New York City. Off the screen, the camaraderie among the cast members in this expansive universe remains as strong as ever, with actor Louis Puech Scigliuzzi sharing that newcomers to The Walking Dead are welcomed with open arms.
The young actor expressed his respect for the seasoned veterans of The Walking Dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, during their encounter at Comic Con:
“When you see Lauren Cohan, who portrayed Maggie, and Negan, and they’re all so sweet and kind. Everyone gets along so well there. That’s why the relationships between all those characters feel so genuine and realistic.”
What impact did Daryl Dixon’s journey to France have on The Walking Dead universe?
In response to a question about this journey, the actor remarked:
“Probably be dead.”
Eric Ebouaney, who portrays Fallou in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, quickly dismissed this grim scenario:
“No no, he’d still probably be with the nuns.”
Upon reflection, Scigliuzzi conceded:
“I think my character would still be in the abbey honestly. And wouldn’t have been able to go to The Nest. That would have significantly changed their lives.”
When discussing the resilient and formidable Fallou, who has been pivotal in battling Genet’s forces in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, Ebouaney declared:
“I would have kept fighting as a warrior. As a fearless warrior. Against all those people. Against Genet’s forces. In this post-apocalyptic world.”
The Walking Dead has evolved through many chapters over the years, yet audiences remain hungry for intense zombie action, ensuring the show’s lasting presence in popular culture. Ebouaney elaborated on this phenomenon:
“I don’t think it’s just about the walkers and the zombies. It’s about the human experience. The show portrays the turmoil of humanity; the good and the bad. We can connect with those dualities.”
Ebouaney also highlighted the strong allure of characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as the heart of The Book of Carol:
“Mostly because of that. Melissa and Norman are extraordinary. We are becoming addicted to them.”
Don’t miss a brand new episode every Sunday at 9 pm ET. Will Carol and Daryl reunite in France? Stay tuned to our updates on the show to find out!
