In the preceding episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Loren traveled to the Philippines to meet Faith. During a confessional, he disclosed to the cameras that he had been intimate with one of his friends, who later informed him about having throat gonorrhea.

Loren revealed that this was a new experience for him, despite being accustomed to multiple partners in the past.
