Lord Jamar Discusses Diddy’s Karma for His Impact on Hip-Hop

In a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue, released on October 9, rapper Lord Jamar candidly discussed his thoughts on Seab “Diddy”Combs, elaborating on how Combs is currently attempting to rectify his past missteps in the hip-hop industry.

When posed with a question regarding his beliefs in karma, Jamar expressed,

“Most likely, yeah. I could see that… All of that adds to his karma, too…. You see him say like taking hip-hop down a certain road… All the bullsh*t that you’ve done to hip-hop like you must understand that he took a Dope street group like the Locks and tried to put them in the shiny suits.”

Jamar additionally claimed that Combs was “fired”from Uptown Records after being found in a compromising situation involving another man. He went on to say,

“I’ve been hearing about bis*xual-type sh*t since the 90s… I heard that’s why he got fired from Uptown. He got caught in a precarious situation. Very baby oilish. In the office.”

When asked directly if he was referring to Diddy being caught “receiving fellatio from a man,”Jamar nodded affirmatively, responding with a simple “Yep.”

In his latest conversation with The Art of Dialogue, Lord Jamar discussed how Combs has transformed hip-hop into a materialistic entity, fundamentally altering its genre.

“He tried to do that to hip-hop as a whole, and he was one of the people that were instrumental in handing the keys over to the vultures and turning hip-hop into materialistic. He also helped to take away the integrity of hip-hop when he went from an executive to a rapper.”

Jamar went on to contend that Diddy’s influence has resulted in the overly sexualized representation of female rappers today. Throughout the interview, he also reflected on Combs’ earlier status as a “reputable party promoter”before he achieved fame as an artist and record executive.

The Brand Nubian member revealed that Combs used to host events in New York alongside event planner Jessica Rosenblum, who gained popularity in the 1990s. Jamar recounted attending a notable party thrown by Sean and Rosenblum, which attracted celebrities, business leaders, and featured a vibrant social atmosphere devoid of any blatant “gay sh*t.”

He remarked that these were “parties you would want to go to,”contrasting them with the infamous “freak off”gatherings associated with “baby oil and stuff”that emerged later in Diddy’s career as he gained fame and acquired multiple mansions to host parties in.

In another interview with the same channel, posted on October 5, Jamar suggested that there are influential figures in hip-hop manipulating various aspects of the industry, and he branded Sean as a member of the “gay mafia.”Explicitly mentioning Diddy, he stated,

“This is part of it. You just saw one of the gay mafia members. That’s who he is. That’s who Puffy is. He is one of the members of the mob. He’s a mafia member. But he might not be the Don Carl. He is not the godfather. He is one of the heads of the family.”

Furthermore, Jamar speculated that Jay-Z could soon face scrutiny similar to Diddy’s, pointing to their long-standing friendship, which is currently under investigation due to Combs’ ongoing legal troubles. Jay-Z and Combs have long shared a complex relationship in both their personal and professional lives.

Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, was apprehended in New York after a grand jury indictment approximately 20 days prior to the initial interview on October 5. He is presently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, facing serious charges including fraud, sexual trafficking, and racketeering.
