As Diddy navigates his ongoing legal issues, notable DJ and rapper Lord Jamar made headlines by asserting that Diddy is linked to what he refers to as the “Gay Mafia.”In a recent interview aired on The Art of Dialogue’s YouTube channel on October 5, 2024, Jamar addressed a question from the host regarding the existence of a gay mafia within the hip hop community.
In response, Jamar expressed his belief that certain figures in hip hop are influencing events behind the scenes. He specifically named Diddy, frequently known as “Puffy,” asserting:
“This is part of it. You just saw one of the gay mafia members. That’s who he is, that’s who Puffy is. He is one of the members of the mob. He’s a mafia member. But he might not be the Don Carl, he is not the godfather. He is one of the heads of the family.”
Additionally, Lord Jamar commented on Diddy’s ownership of liquor brands like DeLeón Tequila and Ciroc Vodka, suggesting:
“Some say that he got a little too big for his britches and when he ended up suing that liquor company DeLeón, that’s when it all started going downhill for him.”
This interview emerged nearly three weeks after Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, was arrested in New York following a grand jury indictment. Reports indicate that he faces charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and fraud.
Predictions of Scrutiny Towards Jay-Z
While examining Diddy’s situation, Lord Jamar didn’t stop there. He speculated that Jay-Z might be the next public figure facing scrutiny. When asked by the host about the rumors surrounding “Jay-X being next,” Jamar replied:
“You know, I will say that Jay-Z, if he was doing ill like that, he was more quiet about it. You know what I mean? But then, if we are real with ourselves, it was kinda abnormal when he got with Beyoncé. She was pretty young when he got with her.”
Moreover, Jamar’s assertions regarding Diddy’s affiliation with a “Gay Mafia”prompted many users on social media to reference Kim Porter’s memoir, which alleged that Diddy had acted as a child sexual abuser. For context, Kim Porter was the mother of four of Sean “Diddy”Combs’ children. As reported by Billboard, Porter supposedly maintained a diary on a flash drive that she shared with friends prior to her passing in 2018.
According to the Daily Mail, author Chris Todd, writing under the pen name “Jamal T. Millwood,”later published these memoirs which became an Amazon bestseller. This book presented alarming allegations against Combs, including claims of physical and child sexual abuses.
Allegedly, Porter detailed finding recordings that purportedly depicted Combs with underage boys, including one with an 18-year-old who later gained fame as a pop star. However, Todd did not offer any substantiating evidence for these claims. The validity of these allegations remains unverified, as neither Diddy nor his legal representatives have addressed them.
Diddy’s next court appearance is set for October 9, 2024. It should also be noted that his legal team has consistently sought to secure his bail, yet the judge has denied these requests, citing concerns that Diddy poses a “flight risk.”
