After speaking with her, she reveals that a mysterious woman took her to a place filled with statues.

This location points you to the mason’s yard located to the north, where further clues about the Chrysalis quest can be unearthed.
Shucho
Your pursuit of the first child, Shucho, is guided by the following hints:
- Located in southwestern Settsu
- Seen southwest of the Temple of Osaka

A lot
Finding the second white butterfly next to the burnt buildings near Kojo ruins leads you to the search for the child of a sake merchant residing on an island to the west of Osaka.

At Kojo Ruins, you’ll find the child in a dispute with their captor. Defeat the kidnapper and escort the child back home. Completing this segment of the quest will provide you with valuable leads towards the overarching conspiracy of the kidnappings, as well as earning the Hidden Pleat Tanto.
Richie

After locating the third white butterfly, your next destination is the burnt-out well situated north of the Temple of Osaka, very close to Nishinomaru Garden. Here, listen in on a gardener discussing a bamboo grove located north of Osaka Castle near Noda Village.

Proceed to the bamboo grove, take down the kidnapper, and free the child secured within the shack. Accomplishing this task grants you the Trinket of Childlike Bravery and the Dog-Ear Tanto as rewards.
That’s it.
For your final target, Kacho, you will gather clues:
- Located in Southwestern Settsu
- Near Nishinomaru Garden
- Her garden is adorned with butterflies

Kacho can be found within the hostile confines of the Osaka Military District, positioned at the northern edge of Nishinomaru Garden. Upon your arrival in the garden, a cutscene will play out and the duel will commence. After overcoming her, return to the original Butterfly Collector to conclude the quest.
In a surprising twist, upon your return, she confesses her past struggles with abduction and manipulation into the very gang you sought to dismantle. A heartfelt plea for redemption asks you to rename her, leaving you with a moral choice to either release her as a victim or deliver justice for her complicit actions. Each choice yields a distinct but thematically similar trinket, symbolizing either mercy or vengeance.
