Contents:

The Katsuragi Agent

Your pursuit of the Katsuragi Agent begins with a quest assigned by Fuyu, who urges you to engage with local inhabitants.

The initial clue leads you to Katsuragi, particularly Gokenin Manor, where speaking to the Gokenin unveils that the agent is none other than the Gokenin master himself.

Confronting the master in the manor’s southwest corner reveals him to be a formidable foe wielding a Kanabo. Defeating him rewards you with the legendary Boulder Fall Kanabo, known for its unique engraving, while also providing insights into your next target, the Tsutsui Agent, an advising merchant for a Daimyo.

The Tsutsui Agent

The Tsutsui Agent operates covertly against Junkei and his retainers, prompting an investigation at Koriyama Castle, the stronghold of Junkei.

Upon reaching the northern perimeter of the castle, you’ll find the agent shielded by a band of bodyguards. After stealthily bypassing their defenses, you’ll find the agent exposed.

Utilizing nearby rooftops facilitates an aerial assassination tactic. Eliminating the agent yields the Dragon’s Wrath bow, complete with an instant charge arrow engraving. To uncover your subsequent target, search the agent’s residence nearby for critical intel, which indicates a monk in Yamato and an impending shipment of supplies.

The Blacksmith Agent

Following the supply trail takes you to Uda Matsuyama, where you can overhear blacksmiths discussing competition with an unknown upstart in Miyataki.

Your lead points directly to the Blacksmith Agent, located by the river to the north of Yoshino, marked on your map beneath the Hidden River tag.

In the heart of Miyataki, the Blacksmith Agent commands attention in their workshop. Executing a sneaky approach allows for a successful assassination, granting you the Encouragement Amulet along with a Naginata specialization engraving.

The Akiyama Agent

To identify the Akiyama Agent, a confrontation with mercenaries north of Uda Matsuyama is required.

These mercenaries are conveniently located near a horse archery challenge. Vanquishing the Mercenary Leader unearths a damning communication from a local guard captain, pinpointing the captain as your next target.

Look in the northwest area of Uda Matsuyama Castle, specifically near the Daimyo Residence, where you can find and defeat the captain to receive the Repeating Fate Teppo, along with valuable insight regarding the remaining conspirators.

The Messenger

The Messenger plays an essential role in orchestrating affairs for the Wise, a member of the Shinbakufu, and is encountered at the culmination of your quest arc during the Darkness Falls mission.

If you’ve effectively dispatched the prior conspirators, you may locate the Messenger ahead of the main quest. They can be found meditating by a serene pond in the northwest of Kofukuji Temple.

Defeating the Messenger rewards you with the Shade of Blight Naginata and an engraving that triggers adrenaline upon affliction. Upon completing the task of defeating all targets, return to Fuyu, who will express her gratitude and direct you to a shrine where Kojiro has left a memorable gift. Ascending the hill behind the shrine reveals the Whisper of Muramasa, a legendary katana that renders enemies vulnerable when struck after a successfully timed riposte.
