Scattered throughout the Ancestral Forge chapter of DOOM: The Dark Ages are several destructible wolf statues. By locating and destroying all three, players can obtain a rare and valuable resource known as Wraithstone. These precious gems play a crucial role in enhancing your weapons, making it essential to seize every chance to collect them.
Where to Find the Wolf Statues in DOOM: The Dark Ages’s Ancestral Forge
If you’ve already hunted down the three wolf statues in the The Siege Part 1 chapter, you’re familiar with their significance. For those new to this task, don’t worry—it’s quite straightforward.
Players will encounter three spectral wolf statues positioned around the map, along with a fourth statue encased behind barriers that holds an item. To unlock the item, you need to track down and destroy each of the three physical wolf statues using a Shield Throw. This action will restore their spectral representations.
By completing the restoration of all three wolf statues, the previously inaccessible fourth statue will become available. This will allow you to obtain the coveted Wraithstone, making this quest well worth your time and effort.
Let’s dive into the details of where to find these statues.
The three spectral wolf statues (along with the one harboring the Wraithstone) can be found en route to the right-most enemy encounter when facing the Sentinel Shrine at the chapter’s start. Refer to the map below for their exact locations.

Wolf Statue #1
The first wolf statue, which needs to be destroyed, is located near where you’ll find the Wraithstone and the other two spectral wolf statues.

Look up at the cliffs surrounding the area to spot it easily. Use a Shield Throw to destroy this statue, and that’s the first one down!
Wolf Statue #2
The second wolf statue is situated just prior to the central enemy encounter. The pathway to reach it is outlined in the map below.

This statue can be found tucked into a corner on your left. Once again, a Shield Throw will take care of the second statue.

Wolf Statue #3
The final wolf statue is located behind a locked gate at the chapter’s very beginning, which requires the Secret Key to access.
After completing one of the enemy encounters, you will be able to retrieve the Secret Key, which is marked in the image below.

After acquiring the Secret Key, unlock the gate at the start of the level to uncover the last wolf statue. Now, you can return to the Wraithstone, which will remain marked on your map, and collect it!
Utilize the Wraithstone to upgrade your weapons at a Sentinel Shrine whenever you’re ready to power up your arsenal.
