Locations of All Weapons in 99 Nights in the Forest

When you enter the intriguing world of 99 Nights in the Forest, one of your top priorities should be acquiring powerful weapons. These tools are essential for survival, especially given the perilous nature of the environment. While the formidable Deer remains impervious to standard armaments, you’ll encounter various other threats, including wolf packs, mighty bears, and the enigmatic cultists devoted to the Deer.

Your adventure will also involve a mission to rescue four missing children hidden within the forest, further emphasizing the necessity of securing effective weaponry. Below, we will explore the diverse weapons available in 99 Nights in the Forest and how to obtain them.

How to Acquire Weapons in 99 Nights

There are several effective methods to obtain weapons throughout the game:

  • Trading with the Pelt Trader
  • Equipping a class that comes with weapons in their initial inventory
  • Looting randomly spawning chests in the Forest and Cultist Stronghold
  • Discovering gun cabinets scattered across the map

Pelt Trader

One of the most reliable approaches to secure a weapon early on is to trade a rabbit’s foot and a wolf pelts with the Pelt Trader. This character becomes available starting on Day 2 and can provide you with options such as a Spear or a Revolver. Depending on the number of players in your party, it may be more advantageous to opt for a Good Axe and a Pouch during this early game phase.

Classes and Their Starting Weapons

Certain classes begin with both melee and ranged weaponry, namely:

  • Hunter: Bear Traps
  • Ranger: Revolver
  • Lumberjack: Good Axe
  • Assassin: Katana and Throwing Knives

Among these, the Assassin stands out for their agility and lethality, equipped with a Katana and Throwing Knives that serve as melee and ranged options, respectively. If you’re not inclined to spend 500 Diamonds on the Assassin class, there are various ways to collect comparable items early in your journey.

Gun Cabinets

Throughout the camp, you may discover a building that houses a gun cabinet. Inside, you’ll consistently find ammunition, along with either a revolver or a rifle cleverly placed on a workbench.

Though these cabinets are not extremely common, they do appear with a fair frequency and can be a valuable source of potent equipment.

Looting Rare Chests

The primary and most rewarding method for finding weapons is by raiding treasure chests located throughout the forest. As you navigate the landscape, keep an eye out for their distinct black outline in the distance, and make it a point to explore them.

In addition to weaponry, chests may contain essential supplies such as bandages and rare resources. Different types of chests offer varying loot quality:

  • Regular Chests: May contain Good Axes, Spears, Revolvers, and Rifles.
  • Rare Chests: These appear once you reach campfire level 4 and delve deeper into the Forest, providing you with superior loot.
  • Gold Chests: Found only in the most remote areas of the Forest and within high-level Cultist Strongholds.

Within the Cultist Stronghold, players can engage in a combat gauntlet that refreshes every 20 minutes, allowing you to face waves of enemies in exchange for valuable loot, including high-level chests and Diamonds. Eventually, as you establish a solid base to tackle the Stronghold routinely, it becomes the premier method to access end-game items. It’s worth noting that Gold Chests are typically the exclusive source of the game’s most potent weapons, namely the Morning Star and Tactical Shotgun.
