In Monster Hunter Wilds, resources vary in availability, but one resource you’re fortunate to gather with ease is the Wingdrake Hide. This valuable material can be found in abundance once you identify the right locations to hunt the necessary creatures.
Locating Wingdrake Hide in Monster Hunter Wilds
Wingdrake Hide is a drop obtained from two distinct flying Small Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds: the Harpios and the Baunos.
The Baunos are predominantly located in the Windward Plains, whereas you can spot Harpios in both the Scarlet Forest and the Oilwell Basin. To streamline your hunt, consult your Field Guide after you’ve encountered each monster for the first time, as it will clarify their specific drops.

If your goal is to farm Wingdrake Hide efficiently, Harpios in Scarlet Forest are your best bet. This area tends to host groups of four or five Harpios simultaneously, making it ideal for resource acquisition. Use your map to select ‘Filter Icons’ at the bottom left, then choose the ‘Small Monsters’ category for easy identification.

On your map, all Small Monsters appear as small pink diamonds, allowing you to hover over them for identification. While you can’t filter exclusively for Harpios, you can set a waypoint to their nearby locations, hop onto your Seikret, and swiftly travel to engage them. After defeating the Harpios, be sure to carve their remains for Wingdrake Hide.
This cycle of hunting can be repeated efficiently: move between different groups of Small Monsters, and when Harpios become scarce, shift your focus to Baunos in the Plains, or take a break at a nearby Pop-Up Camp until additional Harpios respawn.
It’s essential to note that both Low Rank and High Rank versions of the Harpios/Baunos drop Wingdrake Hide, while High Rank versions yield Wingdrake Hide+.This consistency ensures that every hunt will yield valuable materials!
