Lisuan G100: China’s Premier High-End Gaming GPU Outperforms NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and Nearly Matches RTX 5060 in Latest Benchmarks

Chinese graphic processing unit (GPU) manufacturers are making impressive advancements in their product offerings, particularly in the consumer GPU market. This progress positions them to meaningfully compete against established players such as NVIDIA.

Lisuan G100 Sets New Benchmark Standards Against NVIDIA

Companies like Moore Threads and BirenTech are actively innovating and striving to embed competitive consumer GPUs into the domestic market, aiming to diminish the market share of industry giants like AMD and NVIDIA. Recent developments highlight that Lisuan Technology has introduced its consumer GPU, the Lisuan G100. Early benchmark tests indicate that this GPU has exceeded the performance of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 in OpenCL benchmarks, while trailing slightly behind the newly released Blackwell-based GeForce RTX 5060—a notable achievement in gaming GPU technology.

In tests conducted with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 processor, the Lisuan G100 yielded an impressive score of 111, 290 in OpenCL, surpassing the GeForce RTX 4060. Remarkably, this GPU has not yet launched in retail markets, indicating that Lisuan Technology is persistently fine-tuning the G100’s performance. Notably, when we last encountered this chip, it struggled to beat the aging NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti.

A significant challenge for Chinese consumer GPUs has been unoptimized drivers; however, the new OpenCL tests indicate that Lisuan Technology has developed a robust software ecosystem to complement its hardware.

Regarding specifications, the Lisuan G100 features 12GB of VRAM, presumably GDDR6, with 48 compute units (CUs) and a maximum clock frequency of 2000 MHz. The GPU is manufactured on a 6nm process technology, presumably sourced from SMIC, demonstrating the use of domestic advancements in semiconductor manufacturing.

This marks a significant shift as the Lisuan G100 emerges as a strong contender in the consumer GPU arena. If it successfully enters retail markets, it has the potential to significantly influence mainstream GPU dynamics.
