LG has unveiled two cutting-edge gaming monitors designed for serious gamers, featuring ultra-wide and curved OLED displays that offer a blend of modern gaming capabilities and built-in WebOS for seamless streaming.
Introducing the UltraGear 45GX90SA and 39GX90SA: High-Performance OLED Gaming Monitors
These newly released monitors from LG’s UltraGear series are engineered to provide an extraordinary gaming experience. With their 800R curvature, both models create an enveloping visual field that pulls gamers into their virtual worlds while simultaneously offering access to popular streaming platforms for movies and shows.
The UltraGear line features OLED panels that achieve a remarkable peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. Users can expect a minimum brightness of 250 nits, which can be elevated to 275 nits in SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) mode. While the 45GX90SA model boasts a larger 45-inch display, the 39GX90SA offers a more compact 39-inch option, but both maintain identical specifications and features.

Both monitors feature a high-contrast OLED panel with a ratio of 1.5M:1 for stunning blacks and vibrant color reproduction, delivering sharp and life-like visuals. A key highlight is their impressive 240Hz refresh rate, accompanied by a rapid 0.03ms response time, ensuring incredibly smooth gameplay. The pronounced 800R curvature enhances the immersive experience, ideal for close-quarters gaming on a desk.

With a WQHD resolution of 3440x1440p, these monitors are G-Sync compatible, eliminating screen tearing for a much more enjoyable gaming experience. Additionally, each model incorporates WebOS, a smart interface that allows users to access various streaming services directly from the monitor without needing a separate PC. This means platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are just a click away, transforming the monitor into a multifaceted entertainment hub.
However, the advanced features come at a premium price. The 39-inch model retails for $1, 599, while the 45-inch version is priced at $1, 699. These monitors target gaming enthusiasts willing to invest in high-quality displays rather than the average gamer.
