“Let’s run it back here” – American star Jarred Brooks wants trilogy meeting against rival Joshua Pacio at ONE 168 in Denver

Jarred Brooks, also known as ‘The Monkey God’, has already envisioned the ideal event for his highly anticipated third fight against Joshua Pacio, the current world champion in ONE’s strawweight MMA division.

After 15 months since securing a clear-cut unanimous decision win over ‘The Passion’ and claiming the strawweight championship at ONE 164, Jarred Brooks made his return to the Circle with a strong determination to protect his title against the same opponent he had previously defeated at ONE 166 on March 1.

Unfortunately, the fight was cut short in the first minute when Brooks accidentally spiked Pacio on his head while attempting a takedown. As this was deemed an illegal move, ‘The Monkey God’ was disqualified and Pacio was once again declared the strawweight champion.

Thankfully, Pacio’s injuries were not permanent and he has shown a desire to complete his trilogy with Brooks in the future. While no official date has been set for their third encounter, Brooks hopes to face Pacio when ONE Championship returns to the United States on September 6.

“Let’s run it back here @joshuapacio,”Brooks wrote on his Instagram stories. “Fire card @onechampion #ONE168.”

Possible Trilogy Fight: Joshua Pacio vs. Jarred Brooks III on ONE 168 in September

The addition of Joshua Pacio vs. Jarred Brooks III to the already impressive ONE 168 card, which is set to take place six months from now, would undoubtedly add even more excitement to the event.

According to ONE Chamionship, the upcoming event will take place at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado and will include two highly anticipated world title fights. Superlek Kiatmoo9 will be challenging current bantamweight Muay Thai champion Jonathan Haggerty in the co-main event, as he aims to secure his second ONE world title.

Similarly impressive, the evening’s headline fight will showcase two of the top female MMA fighters in today’s world. Stamp Fairtex, a three-sport champion, will move up from atomweight to challenge Xiong Jing Nan, the only current women’s strawweight titleholder in the promotion.
