Lenovo Unveils RX 9070 XT and RTX 5060 Graphics Cards; Expected for Pre-Built Systems Only

The innovative triple-fan design of the Radeon RX 9070 XT stands out, showcasing a sleek aesthetic reminiscent of the Legion GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090D graphics cards.

Lenovo Unveils RX Vega-Inspired Radeon RX 9070 XT with Triple Fan Cooler, Alongside a Single-Fan RTX 5060 GPU

Lenovo continues to diversify its product offerings beyond laptops and pre-built systems, venturing into custom graphics card editions. Although the presence of Lenovo GPUs in the market remains limited due to their primary focus on computing hardware, the company is expanding its lineup. This follows the recent release of the Legion RTX 5090D and RTX 5080 editions in China, which were met with excitement.

The first addition to Lenovo’s graphics card portfolio is the Radeon RX 9070 XT, drawing inspiration from AMD’s RX Vega design philosophy. Its striking triple-fan cooler and sophisticated shroud provide not only aesthetic appeal but also efficient cooling performance. The robust heatsink is complemented by a stylish RGB Radeon logo etched on the side, mirroring the design elements found in Lenovo’s Legion GPUs.

In addition to its appealing design, the Legion RX 9070 XT boasts a substantial 3-slot thickness, equipped with a high-performance cooling solution to enhance thermal management during intense usage. Interestingly, this model is powered by two 8-pin PCIe connectors, suggesting Lenovo’s intent to cater to standard users rather than those seeking extreme overclocking capabilities. This cautious approach contrasts with other manufacturers like ASRock and Sapphire, which have explored more aggressive power configurations—though incidents of melting connectors have marred such attempts. The safer 3x 8-pin connection strategy employed in this model has proven to be more reliable.

Alongside the RX 9070 XT, Lenovo has also introduced a single-fan custom GeForce RTX 5060 edition. This model is more compact, featuring a thickness of just 2 slots and lacking a backplate, which exposes its PCB components. It is equipped with a single 8-pin PCIe connector, simplifying the installation process for users.

As for specifics regarding clock speeds, pricing, and availability for both GPUs, those details remain under wraps. Currently, both graphics cards are set to be exclusive to the Chinese market and are expected to be bundled within pre-built systems, similar to Lenovo’s previous RTX 5080 and RTX 5090D offerings.
