Sixpence None The Richer lead singer Leigh Nash recently expressed her admiration for BLACKPINK’s Lisa, who incorporated elements of their classic track “Kiss Me”into her new single, “Moonlit Floor.”This praise was shared through her official Instagram account on September 30, 2024. The talented artist has been generating excitement for “Moonlit Floor”through various social media platforms, including TikTok and the official Instagram account of LLOUD, among others.

Leigh Nash commended BLACKPINK’s Lisa for her rendition of “Kiss Me”

At the Global Citizen Festival, BLACKPINK’s Lisa performed the interpolated chorus of Sixpence None The Richer’s hit “Kiss Me,”skillfully altering the original lyrics to:

“Kiss me under the Paris twilight/Kiss me out on the moonlit floor.”

Following this performance, Leigh Nash conveyed her thoughts on Instagram, noting Lisa’s excellent interpretation of the chorus while tagging BLACKPINK’s official account. She remarked:

“It is truly humbling to see our song reaching an entirely new generation. Lisa did a great job with this version. As we head out on tour this fall, we’re excited to meet some of this new generation of ‘Kiss Me’ fans.”

“Moonlit Floor”is set to officially release on October 3, 2024, via RCA Records and Sony Music. This marks it as the second English digital single from the female artist. Previously, LLOUD, Lisa’s management company, teased a snippet of the upcoming single with the caption ‘So Kiss Me’ on their official Instagram account.

“Kiss Me,”originally launched on August 12, 1998, in the United States, later gained international distribution. It has become the highest-charting single for American pop rock band Sixpence None The Richer, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and being recognized as the sixth best-selling single in 1999. The song is featured on their third studio album, *Sixpence None the Richer*.

In other news, Lisa also performed her track “Rockstar”at the same ceremony on September 11, 2024, where she won the Best K-pop award, marking her as the first solo artist to win this honor consecutively.
