Tragic Loss in the Entertainment World: Lee Hee Chul Passes Away

The unexpected passing of Lee Hee Chul, a beloved restaurant owner and influential YouTube personality, on January 7 has left the entertainment community in shock. His demise at the hospital followed hospitalization due to a chronic condition, ultimately resulting from a sudden heart attack.

This heartbreaking news has deeply affected his fans, especially since Lee recently expressed a positive outlook on maintaining a healthier lifestyle in a heartfelt message welcoming the upcoming year. In his reflective New Year’s post, he shared his hopes for personal growth and better health.

On December 31, Lee wrote, “The difficulties of 2024 will surely be used as a solid foundation for my health. In the new year of 2025, I wish for everyone to be healthier.”This message resonated with his followers, as he conveyed both hope and resilience.

Lee was last seen in a robust state during his participation in the November edition of LG U+’s show, Trust Me and Tell Me, Let’s Be Comfortable. His role as a restaurant CEO showcased his passion for culinary arts, as he mentored individuals with limited cooking skills, transforming them into proficient chefs.

Beyond his contributions to the foodie community, Lee Hee Chul also established himself in the K-Pop scene, serving as the visual director for the girl group CLASS:y, which emerged from the audition program, My Teenage Girl, in 2022.

Known for his close friendships with stars such as Sandara Park and former Chakra member Hwangbo, Lee displayed unwavering support for his friends. In October, he was seen cheering on Dara at a 2NE1 concert in Seoul, further highlighting his strong connections within the industry.

As the community mourns this loss, Lee Hee Chul’s body was laid to rest today at 5:00 A.M. KST (3:00 P.M. EST) at the Suwon City Yeonhwajang, following arrangements made at the Soonchunhyang Seoul Hospital funeral hall.
