Recent Leaks of Unfinished Video Game Builds

A wave of unfinished versions of several unreleased video games has surfaced online, sparking intrigue and concern within the gaming community. This includes notable titles like Riot Games’ debut fighting game, 2XKO, as well as Killing Floor 3 and PLAYERUNKNOWN Prologue: Go Wayback.

Details of the Leak

According to a report by Insider Gaming, these builds are being circulated on a yet-to-be-named datamining Discord server. Users on this platform appear to be utilizing these partial versions for data extraction and analysis. However, it’s important to note that there is a significant risk that some of these games may be made playable for the public, potentially impacting their official release perception. In addition to the aforementioned titles, the leaks also encompass ARC Raiders from Embark Studios and an early build of Delta Force Hawk Ops.

The Implications of Such Leaks

This leak, while significant, does not reach the scale of the notorious Insomniac Games leak from late 2023. That incident saw a comprehensive array of information, including sensitive data about the unannounced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port, the PlayStation 5 Pro’s AI-driven upscaler, known as Spectral Super Resolution, as well as an early prototype of Marvel’s Wolverine. The fallout from that leak was substantial enough that users successfully created an unofficial port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 prior to its official launch earlier this year.

As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how these current leaks will affect the gaming landscape, particularly regarding player expectations and the final quality of these upcoming titles.
