Recent leaks indicate that the upcoming Intel Panther Lake processor lineup will launch with up to 12 different Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).According to these insights, the distribution will include four models from the Core Ultra X series, another four from the standard Core Ultra range, and the last four will belong to the U-series.
Insights from Leaked Screenshot on Panther Lake’s Configuration
This follows a previous report on the potential Integrated Graphics Processing Unit (iGPU) configurations for some Panther Lake models, suggesting that only the Core Ultra “X”variants would feature a robust setup with 12 Xe3 GPU cores. Recent leaks support this assertion but also mention an additional lower-end WeU within the “X”series. Interestingly, the naming scheme appears altered; instead of the anticipated format of “Core Ultra X7/X9 3X8H, ”the leak employs a format where the “X”is prefixed to the model designation, such as “Core Ultra 7/9 X3X8H.”

The revelation extends beyond nomenclature; there is also speculation regarding non-X variants of the Core Ultra 7 and 9, with the “X”lineup now including a Core Ultra 5 model identified as Core Ultra 5 X338H (or alternatively, Core Ultra X5 338H).However, this particular model will be equipped with just 10 Xe3 cores, contrary to the initial leak’s claim that only X variants would feature 12 cores.
For the other segments of the lineup, we have the regular Core Ultra 5, 7, and 9 (3X5H series), which are expected to exhibit significantly reduced GPU capability. Even though Intel plans to maintain the CPU architecture, the iGPU across these models is predicted to feature only four Xe3 GPU cores. This same configuration will apply to upper-tier Core Ultra 3, 5, and 7 (3X0U) CPUs, which will be constrained to 6 to 8 CPU cores.
Interestingly, this leak not only anticipates nearly a dozen WeUs within the initial Panther Lake release but also certifies some previously disclosed specifications. The only remaining factor to verify is whether Intel will adhere to the “Core Ultra X5/X7/X9″format or opt for a version that places the “X” prefix at the beginning of the model number. It is essential to note that while “confirmation”is mentioned, this does not render it official, so it’s advisable to approach these details with caution.
