Overview of the Upcoming PS5 Astro Bot Bundle
- Reports indicate that Sony is poised to release a PS5 Astro Bot bundle.
- This bundle is expected to feature the PS5 Disc Edition alongside a digital download code for the anticipated 2024 game.
- Launch is anticipated around mid-March 2025, and an announcement could occur during the imminent State of Play event.
In an exciting development for gamers, Sony appears to be preparing a PlayStation 5 Astro Bot bundle, as indicated by credible sources within the industry. This new offering is expected to roll out in at least two continents, making it accessible to a broader audience.
Since its launch in late 2020, Sony has consistently offered bundles that pair the PS5 with popular games and merchandise. Recent bundles include the Fortnite Cobalt Star PS5 package and exclusive offerings for the Japanese market, such as two Monster Hunter Wilds packs released in late 2024 and early 2025.
According to information shared by Billbil-kun from Dealabs, the upcoming Astro Bot bundle will include the standard version of the PS5 with a disc drive, which is the PS5 Disc Edition. This follows the trend of bundles that are designed to cater to a wide variety of gaming preferences, following the recent introduction of the PS5 Slim variant in November 2023.

Anticipated Launch of the PS5 Astro Bot Bundle
The Astro Bot bundle is rumored to be slated for a late winter or early spring 2025 release, with March 13 being indicated as a possible date. Pricing is projected to be within the range of €474.99 to €499.99 in Europe, closely aligning with the previously released Fortnite Cobalt Star PS5 bundle. Notably, the bundle will likely include a digital download code for the game rather than a physical copy, leaving some uncertainty as to whether this will grant access to the Standard or Digital Deluxe Editions of Astro Bot.
Possible Announcement in the Upcoming State of Play
As per insights from seasoned leaker Nate the Hate, a mid-February 2025 State of Play event is in the works. If the Astro Bot bundle is indeed rolling out as expected in March, this event could serve as an ideal platform for Sony to unveil this latest offering officially.
By bundling Astro Bot with the PS5, Sony would be demonstrating its confidence in the game’s ability to drive console sales. The performance of Astro Bot has been promising, with the game selling 1.5 million copies by November 3, just days before its two-month launch anniversary. Developed by a talented team of roughly 65 individuals over a three-year timeline, Astro Bot has likely recouped its development costs, particularly as a first-party title exempt from the typical 30% PS Store revenue share.
