Leak Uncovers Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 6.89-Inch CoE OLED Display with Slim Bezels, Enhanced Brightness, and Better Battery Efficiency

Samsung has once again captured attention with its latest reveal of the foldable smartphone series, paving the way for the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 Ultra. Following the S25 Ultra’s introduction of one of the largest displays to date at 6.86 inches and impressive AI advancements, focus has quickly turned to the upcoming model. Recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could not only be lighter and slimmer than its predecessor but may also feature a surprisingly larger screen.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to Feature an Enhanced 6.89-Inch Display

The unveiling of the Galaxy S25 Ultra made waves for its expansive screen size and cutting-edge AI functionalities. Now, as we look forward to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, reports indicate that Samsung is planning even greater enhancements. According to leaks from the renowned tipster Ice Universe, the S26 Ultra is set to sport a larger display measuring 6.89 inches, only a slight increase from the S25 Ultra’s 6.86-inch screen.

Remarkably, despite the boost in display size, the overall width of the S26 Ultra is expected to remain consistent at 77.6mm. This is achievable due to Samsung’s efforts in minimizing the bezels, which have been reduced from approximately 1.2mm in the S25 Ultra to a sleek 1.15mm in the upcoming model. While the difference may seem minor, it contributes to a more modern and refined aesthetic.

On the technological front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is reportedly integrating a Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED display panel, a technology that has been effectively utilized in the Galaxy Z Fold series. This innovative display method eliminates the need for a polarizer, combining a color filter with a single display layer to enhance contrast significantly. As a result, users can expect a brighter, clearer screen that conserves battery life, elevating the overall user experience.

While the potential increase in screen size promises to enhance the viewing experience, it also raises questions regarding ergonomics. However, if the phone is genuinely lighter and slimmer, it may mitigate any challenges related to one-handed operation, allowing for a practical and user-friendly device.
