Lawsuit Claims Diddy S*xually Assaulted Ex-Ecko Clothing Employee in Macy’s Stockroom Before Their Termination
On October 14, 2024, a recent lawsuit was lodged against Diddy by a former advisor of Ecko Clothing, who is making serious allegations of oral assault. The individual, referenced as John Doe in the filing, remains anonymous and has initiated the case under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act in New York City.
As highlighted in the lawsuit, detailed by AllHipHop, the alleged incident took place in May 2008 within the stockroom of the iconic Macy’s store located in Herald Square, Manhattan. The complaint asserts that Diddy and three security personnel entered the stockroom, where John Doe was allegedly struck at the base of his neck by what may have been a firearm, resulting in him collapsing to the ground.
The lawsuit states:
“Combs approached plaintiff while plaintiff was still on his hands and knees.”
It goes on to claim that Diddy compelled the victim to endure oral assault for approximately two minutes. During this horrifying episode, the rapper reportedly directed derogatory comments towards the plaintiff. After the act, John Doe alleges that Diddy callously tossed his head aside, uttering threats akin to “shut up or I’ll kill you.”
Lawsuit Alleges Ecko Clothing Ignored Assault Report
The complaint indicates that following the assault, Diddy exited the stockroom and began distributing merchandise to onlookers outside in Macy’s. The victim purportedly attempted to report the assault to the store’s security but received no assistance.
Furthermore, it is claimed that Macy’s barred the plaintiff from returning to their Herald Square store. Allegedly, three weeks post-incident, the CEO of Macy’s exerted pressure on Ecko to terminate the employee, as Ecko was in the process of negotiating a multi-million dollar deal with Diddy’s clothing line, Sean John. As a result, Ecko terminated the plaintiff’s employment.
The lawsuit also alleges that Macy’s erased or destroyed any records related to the assault report, as no action was reportedly taken. The filing includes the assertion:
“Plaintiff ultimately had to move out of New York. Plaintiff still fears for his life as a result of the incident and the threats made against him on that day, particularly given that he was known to Combs through his work with competing fashion label Ecko.”
The plaintiff is currently pursuing both compensatory and punitive damages.
Diddy was taken into custody at a hotel in New York on September 16, 2024, leading to a grand jury indictment on charges that include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.
Representatives for the rapper stated to Metro.co.uk that they maintain complete confidence in the evidence, applicable legal defenses, and the judicial system’s integrity, asserting that the truth—that the rapper has not sexually assaulted anyone—will ultimately emerge.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all allegations and is presently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York.
