Launch of AMD’s Instinct MI350 Series AI Accelerator This Week; Team Red Aims for 30x Energy Efficiency Improvement by 2025

During the ISC25 keynote, Mark Papermaster, AMD’s CTO, announced that the next-generation Instinct MI350 series is expected to debut this Thursday, boasting an impressive enhancement of up to 35 times in inferencing capabilities.

Although AMD has not revealed extensive details regarding the MI350 AI accelerator, preliminary insights suggest that the GPU will utilize a cutting-edge 3nm process node and support up to 288 GB of HBM3E memory. This positions it as a formidable opponent to NVIDIA’s Blackwell lineup.
