Snapdragon 7 Gen2 is a game-changing new Snapdragon chipset.
Qualcomm, a prominent semiconductor company, has officially announced the release of its latest Snapdragon chipset. The news was made via Weibo, a major Chinese social media network, and revealed that the launch ceremony will be held on March 17, 2023. Although the name of the chipset is still unknown, it is commonly assumed that it will be dubbed Snapdragon 7 Gen2 or Snapdragon 7+ Gen1.

According to rumors, the next Snapdragon processor, codenamed SM7475, will be manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm technology. It will use Qualcomm’s Kryo Prime, Gold, and Silver core architectures in a triple-cluster design. One Prime core, three Gold cores, and four Silver cores are included in this architecture, with the Prime core being the most powerful.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen2, which is likely to be the new chipset’s foundation, would include a big core Arm Cortex-X2 with a maximum frequency of 2.95GHz. It will also include three huge Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four little Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The GPU utilized in this chipset will be Adreno 725 at 580Hz.
In terms of performance, the new Snapdragon 7 processor, as well as MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200, Dimensity 9000, and Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 are predicted to be far more powerful than the previous generation (3GHz).
