Google has unveiled an exciting update for its child-centric smartwatch, the Fitbit Ace LTE, enhancing the device with a variety of engaging features designed to promote active and independent living for kids. This update introduces options like Family and Siblings Chat, new watch faces, Family Quests, trivia tasks, games, and more.

Since its launch in May, the Fitbit Ace LTE has aimed to empower children to lead healthier lives while keeping parents informed about their activities. With this latest update, there are even more compelling reasons for young users to trade in their smartphones for this innovative smartwatch.

New Communication Features: Keeping Families Connected

One of the standout additions is the Family Group Chat, allowing children to communicate with family members added to their Google family group through the Ace app or directly via the smartwatch. Additionally, the new Siblings Chat feature enables direct messaging and calling between siblings, fostering closer connections even while on the go.

Engaging Visuals and Challenges

The update also brings two vibrant “Noodle”watch faces, which visually represent the child’s progress towards their daily “Move Goal.”To keep kids engaged, Google has introduced 50 new “Daily Quests”alongside trivia tasks that encourage them to stay active. Furthermore, the new Family Quests feature promotes teamwork by requiring families to complete challenges together, unlocking exciting rewards for the kids.

Interactive Gaming Experience: Emphasizing Movement

Adding to the fun, Google has introduced a game named “Solar Sword”, available in the Fitbit Arcade. In this interactive game, children must save their village from invading monsters, with their gaming progress linked to their physical activity—the more they move, the more they can unlock in the game.

In addition to these exciting new features, Google has announced special holiday promotions. From November 21 to December 4, shoppers can enjoy a $50 discount on the Fitbit Ace LTE and a $20 discount on Ace LTE bands at the Google Store. Furthermore, those purchasing for multiple siblings can receive a 50% discount on the second Ace Pass annual plan, valid until January 31, 2025.
