Latest Call of Duty Update Now Available for Black Ops 6 and Warzone

Key Update Highlights

  • Recent patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 resolves prior weapon discrepancies from Season 2 Reloaded and introduces a dedicated Bullet map playlist.
  • Treyarch has revised weapon stats for several key firearms, including the GPR 91 and Feng 82, alongside adjustments to specific attachments.
  • Players facing challenges with Ranked Play SR earnings and Zombies mode crashes should find solutions within this update.

This week, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched a vital update, addressing weapon tuning oversights from the recently introduced Season 2 Reloaded. The update not only rectifies these issues but also adds a 24/7 game mode centered around the new Bullet map. The Season 2 Reloaded launch earlier this week unveiled fresh 6v6 multiplayer arenas, an array of new melee weapons, and an exciting collaboration featuring characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, complete with new challenges and events.

Despite these enhancements, players reported that several weapon tuning changes outlined in the patch notes for Season 2 Reloaded did not take effect as anticipated. Specifically, adjustments to four weapons and three attachments were not implemented, influencing gameplay in both Black Ops 6’s multiplayer mode and Call of Duty: Warzone. This prompted a clarification from Treyarch and Activision, who explained that the discrepancies arose from a technical glitch rather than inaccurate patch notes.

In response, Treyarch rolled out a new update, which featured the addition of a 24/7 Bullet playlist. This unique map takes players aboard a moving bullet train, creating an exhilarating environment for intense multiplayer combat. Fans have been raving about the dynamic experience and variety this map brings to the game.

This critical patch primarily aims to resolve the weapon issues that were overlooked in the Season 2 Reloaded update. Key firearms such as the GPR 91 assault rifle, the Feng 82 light machine gun, and the SWAT 5.56 and Tsarkov 7.62 marksman rifles have been fine-tuned. Additionally, adjustments were made for two of the three weapon attachments; the fix for the Under Barrel Crossbow attachment is expected in a future update. Notably, this patch also alleviates problems players encountered regarding their Ranked Play SR points and addresses stability issues faced by Zombies players experiencing crashes when pausing games.

Treyarch and Activision’s proactive approach in addressing weapon balancing concerns is commendable, especially since many players are invested in the nuanced statistics that govern gameplay. As we wait for the onset of Season 3, gamers can dive headfirst into the chaotic gameplay offered by the new Bullet 24/7 map, ensuring there is plenty of action to keep them engaged in the interim.
