The LA Lakers (42-33) traveled to Canada on Tuesday to face the Toronto Raptors (23-51). As the regular season nears its end, the Lakers are determined to secure another victory and secure the sixth seed in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

During the opening period, LA put on an impressive performance and managed to secure a 34-25 lead. Despite being among the top scorers for the Lakers in the first quarter, Russell also excelled at facilitating the offense, recording three assists. Assisting “D-Lo”in creating scoring opportunities was none other than LeBron James, who tallied four assists.

Despite trailing in the second quarter, the Toronto Raptors managed to reduce the deficit to six points by outscoring the Lakers by three points and tallying 33 points as a team. In an effort to spark a comeback, RJ Barrett stepped up and contributed 10 points for the Raptors.

Despite this, the LA Lakers continued their momentum as LeBron began to find his rhythm on offense, scoring eight points in the second quarter. Spencer Dinwiddie also caught fire from beyond the arc in the second period, hitting two consecutive threes. Additionally, Rui Hachimura contributed to the Lakers’ success with six points of his own in the second quarter.
