Kody elaborated on how his narrative has taken an unexpected course:

“This isn’t supposed to be part of the story that I’m writing about myself. You know what I mean? And everybody’s their story. You’re the author of your story. My story is taking a turn.”

Visibly emotional, Kody acknowledged the journey his family has faced, expressing a sense of loss as they navigate through turbulent waters. “There will always be the moment you said, ‘I wish I would’ve taken advantage,’ and there’s the regret. There’s even the regret of the divorce — Meri, Janelle and Christine — those divorces and being angry during those divorces. Sure, I regret that stuff.”

He concluded by sharing his hope for healing and a brighter tomorrow, striving to “create less regret”for his family’s future. Kody noted:

“But see, that’s all over now and everybody’s healing. And so now we can move forward, and we can just take those steps that create less regret.”
