To initiate the In Vino Veritas quest, players must first locate Casper Rudolf in Kuttenberg. He can be found near the Fountain at the city’s western entrance, where he’s busy selling wine. Engaging with him leads to a free wine sample. After tasting, players should share their thoughts, which opens the dialogue to begin the quest.
Casper will plead for assistance in retrieving a crucial manuscript about wine from his former lover, Adleta Mannlicher. Adleta is the daughter of a notable blacksmith and is heavily guarded by her brother, Hugo Mannlicher. Players will have to navigate these family dynamics to get to her, as she typically spends her time in a nearby garden.
How to Retrieve Casper’s Manuscript
During the day, players can pursue one of the map markers to find Adleta, but they will need to engage with Hugo first. Here’s the strategy for retrieving the manuscript:

Throughout this mini-game, players will need to pass several drinking checks to extract insights about the wine. The first will be an easy task, and if completed successfully, Havel will ask about the best wine from Germany — the correct answer being Steinberger.
Although players will face subsequent checks, only the first two are essential. Declining to engage or stating indifference will halt progress. Eventually, Havel will prompt Henry to identify what’s deficient in his finest wine. The correct response to earn Havel’s favor is ‘Ginger, it’s missing ginger!‘.This answer will unveil vital information pertaining to the Monastery.

Executing the Monastery Infiltration
Players can infiltrate the vineyard by participating in the Under the Straw Hat Task, effectively allowing them to work at the vineyard. Engaging with the Recruiter upon arrival and then the Supervisor grants full access to significant parts of the vineyard, key for uncovering the monastery’s secret.
Once players have access, navigate discreetly through the vineyard, collecting herbs to maintain a low profile while noting a guard positioned near the monastery’s walls. Head to the main building through the door next to the Supervisor, making your way towards the kitchen’s back door.
Players will need to find a locked Medium difficulty door to access the deposit room, where the Sulfur Wicks essential for completing the Find the Monastery Secret objective can be found.
Acquiring Grape Seedlings
From the main building’s access door, wait for the perfect moment when the area is clear, then proceed to open the door leading into the restricted section housing the wine seedlings.
Stay close to the left wall and wait for a Worker to leave before proceeding towards the seedling orchard, identifiable by small, distinctive plants. Keeping a low profile is critical, as guards may investigate any suspicious sounds.
Carefully extract five seedlings and make your way back to the door leading out of the main building. It’s wise to wait until the coast is clear to prevent triggering alarms.
After successfully obtaining all required items, players can return to Casper in Kuttenberg to present the Sulfur Wicks, seedlings, and any books not previously delivered.
For their efforts, Casper will reward players with 75 Groschen for the secret, 425 additional Groschen for the seedlings, and a Level 4 Drinking Skill Book, concluding the In Vino Veritas quest triumphantly.
