In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, players step into the shoes of Henry of Skalitz, a versatile character with a knack for managing a variety of weapons, armor, and goods. Despite his remarkable ability to carry many items thanks to a magical pocket dimension, effective inventory management is essential. The developers have prioritized realism and immersion, meaning that increasing Henry’s carrying capacity is both a straightforward and rewarding task.
As players progress through KCD2, they can enhance Henry’s abilities through consistent training. To maximize the number of items he can carry, it is vital to invest time and effort into improving his strength. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how to effectively manage inventory space and the maximum weights Henry can bear.
Quick Navigation
How to Increase Your Carry Capacity in KCD2

To enhance your carrying capabilities, it’s crucial to boost Henry’s Strength stat. Engaging in various combat activities typically helps accumulate Strength XP. Wearing heavier armor and wielding strength-focused weapons can significantly enhance your XP gains. While combat with NPCs or hunting wild game are viable ways to earn points, the most effective strategy is to seek training from a combat master.
In the Troskowitz region, players can visit Tomcat at the Romani Nomads Camp, located just west of Bozhena the herbwoman’s hut. Here, Tomcat will not only train you in new combat techniques but also offers valuable sparring experience to improve your skills, including advanced maneuvers like Master Strikes (provided you can best him in a duel).
Additionally, simply moving while overloaded will also contribute to earning Strength XP.
Perks for Carrying Weight

For each point of Strength, Henry’s maximum carrying capacity increases by 10. This figure can be further enhanced by acquiring specific perks tied to the Strength stat:
Perk | Description | Strength Requirement |
---|---|---|
Pack Mule | Increases carrying capacity by 12 pounds. | 8 |
Strong As A Bull | Increases carrying capacity by 20 pounds. | 12 |
Well-Built | Each point of Strength increases carrying capacity by 12 pounds instead of 10. | 16 |
Using Your Horse’s Inventory

If you find yourself burdened with cumbersome items, consider utilizing your horse’s saddlebags. Once you’ve acquired a horse in KCD2, you can easily store excess items. To do this, navigate to your inventory, select the item you wish to transfer, and press the X key (Square/X on controller) to move the item to your horse’s inventory.
Interestingly, you do not need to be near your horse to complete this transfer. Moreover, enhancing your horse’s carrying capability is possible by investing in better saddles.
