However, the quest titled The Jaunt introduces a shift in focus. Radovan will ask you to investigate the fate of his hands and the cart destined for Lord Semine. Prepare for a challenge, as you will encounter Jurko, an adversary, before you can start your search for the lost cart.

Initiating The Jaunt Side Quest
To embark on this quest, make your way to Tachov and speak with Blacksmith Radovan once you have finished “The Blacksmith’s Son.”Select the dialogue option that prompts him to share details about a more intriguing job.
Ensure you engage with all of Radovan’s conversation options to gather as much intel as possible about his hands. After that, check your map for a marker indicating Lord Semine’s location.
Upon arriving, you will trigger a cutscene in which Jurko requests wine, setting the stage for a skirmish. Your primary objective is to defeat him, though the fight concludes regardless of the outcome. It’s advisable to defend against his attacks to preserve your health.
Interestingly, the confrontation ends as soon as you draw your weapon. Shortly thereafter, Captain Gnarly arrives to investigate the noise, leading to your introduction to Lord Semine, who requires clarification of the events.
Converse With Captain Gnarly

In your meeting with Lord Semine, it’s decided that you will join Captain Gnarly and the Lord on the quest to find the missing cart. When speaking with the Captain, opt for “I’ll be glad to join you”to enhance your reputation.
During this exchange, the Captain observes that you arrived on foot, which offers you a chance to acquire a horse. Be sure to exhaust his dialogue options for additional insights. If you reach Semine at night, you will need to wait until dawn to meet with him and the Captain in the courtyard.
Although Captain Gnarly offers you a place to sleep in the barn, be cautious, as sleeping in the wrong barn can result in penalty. Since you now have the option to fast-travel back to your room, it is advisable to rest there and return the next day to further the quest.
Locating Lord Semine And Captain Gnarly

The journey to locate Lord Semine and Captain Gnarly is straightforward; simply follow their lead. The game provides an auto-follow feature for convenience.
If you opted against acquiring a horse, you can proceed on foot. After a short ride, Sir Jan Semine may challenge you to a friendly duel. Accept this challenge, and continue your journey until you arrive at the pen.
Engage Captain Gnarly, who will present you with a cudgel, a heavy weapon. Equip this tool and enter the pigpen to face off against Lord Semine. It’s crucial to aim for victory here, as winning nets you an additional reward—the Captain’s shield.
After the fight, be sure to speak with Captain Gnarly for a performance evaluation. Following this, you may wash up and continue your quest to locate the cart and the missing hands of the blacksmith.
Speak With The Bailiff At Troskowitz

Upon reaching Troskowitz, engage in dialogue with both the Captain and the Lord, after which you must approach the Bailiff discreetly, avoiding mention of Lord Semine.
Head over to the Scribe’s residence to locate the Bailiff. Inquire about the cart’s whereabouts, and ensure to explore all dialogue choices to gain further insight into the situation regarding the hands.
Once your conversation concludes, return to Sir Semine and share your discoveries, revealing that the cart was last seen near Apollonia. Lord Semine is then motivated to search for the cart personally, at which point you should follow him and Captain Gnarly.
Examine The Crossroads Near The Cemetery

Captain Gnarly will assign you and Henry to investigate the area for any clues. You should head northeast, where you will discover a sack of charcoal lying on the ground.
Return to Lord Semine and inform him of your findings; he will decide that the group should press on, indicating a turn left. Utilize the auto-follow feature until you reach your next destination.
Search The Crossroads By Apollonia
From your last stop, turn back and head west to find another sack of charcoal positioned near a rock displaying orange and yellow markings. Follow the trail leading north, and you will ultimately discover the cart. Engage in the ‘explore’ option when beside it, and promptly report your findings to Lord Semine and Captain Gnarly, as you continue your search among the rocks.
Accompany them until you reach a camp where you can hear sounds of nearby enemies. Discuss your strategy with the duo; based on your observations, you will decide whether to employ a high ground advantage for a ranged attack or opt for a stealthy ambush.
Confront The Bandits And Investigate The Camp
Regardless of your strategy—whether you opt for an ambush or ranged assault—once the enemies become aware of your presence, combat will ensue involving Henry, Captain Gnarly, Jan Semine, and the bandits.
Overcome the bandits, then return to Captain Gnarly. A cutscene will reveal that the foes you engaged were part of a patrol. Your next mission is to pursue the remaining bandits.
Arrive at the new location where you will witness a cutscene unveiling Ventza’s treachery against the blacksmith.
Henry and Jan Semine confront the enemy, while Gnarly employs a crossbow surprise attack to shift the battle’s odds in your favor.
After overcoming this group of bandits, Gnarly will instruct you to pursue the hired hand.
Locating Hired Hand Ventza

Use your map to navigate southeast from the camp to find Ventza. Prepare for a confrontation, as he will be reluctant to return with you. Here, you have the opportunity to succeed in a skill check to persuade him to come back.
Select the dialogue “You’re no match for me!”for better odds of success. If you fail the check, Ventza will attempt to escape, giving you the choice to either chase him down or let him flee.
Regardless of your decision, report back on Ventza’s actions—whether he evaded capture or was apprehended. Regardless of the circumstances, you can still complete the quest.
If you succeed in convincing Ventza to accompany you, he will direct you to inform Lord Semine of the events, and he will offer you a ride, facilitating additional dialogues with Franzi, Ventza, and Gules during your journey.
Update Radovan On The Cart

Upon arriving back at Troskowitz, dismount and utilize fast travel to return to Tachov. At the Blacksmith’s location, inform him that “The cart has been found.”Henry will relay all pertinent information regarding the recent events.
Radovan will reward you with a Rusted Plate Cuirass for your efforts. The conversation will shift as Radovan mentions his need for premium steel to forge a sword, the proposed wedding gift. This exchange unlocks the subsequent side quest, The Hermit, which must be completed before you can partake in the wedding festivities.
