In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the quest titled A Good Scrub provides a delightful diversion from the game’s usual themes of combat and ethical choices. This entertaining quest invites players to assist Betty in establishing a bathhouse in the charming town of Kuttenberg, offering a humorous twist to the gameplay.
While the rewards may be modest, the clever dialogue and engaging tasks make this quest enjoyable and worthwhile. Here’s a comprehensive guide to ensure you successfully navigate through A Good Scrub without overlooking any significant details.
Getting Started with A Good Scrub

Begin your quest by locating Betty, the owner of the bathhouse. She is often found upstairs, either cleaning, cooking, or moving around the establishment.
After initiating a conversation with her, she will mention her plans to open the bathhouse and request Henry’s assistance to get everything sorted. Your first mission involves traveling to Grund to find a missing wagoner and his delivery.
Finding the Package and the Wagoner

Make your way to Grund and seek out Mastek the Wagoner, who can be found lingering outside the tavern. Upon speaking with him, you’ll discover that his delay stems more from his paranoia than any significant risk.
Mastek expresses concern about potential soldier inquiries, despite having nothing to conceal. To help him regain his composure, successfully passing a simple speech check will encourage him to proceed with his delivery.

Inside the tavern, you will discover that the “package”Betty was expecting is actually a group of girls who need transportation. Inform them that you’re ready, and they will happily follow you back to the wagon.
During the ride back to Kuttenberg, lighthearted banter will ensue, which is entertaining regardless of how Henry responds. The game will automatically fast-travel you back to the Kingfisher Bathhouse once the dialogue concludes.
Planning a Grand Celebration

Upon returning, Betty will reveal a significant challenge: Adam, her rival bathhouse owner, is attempting to undermine her business and compel her to sell. To counter this threat, she proposes a daring plan to host a lavish party aimed at attracting new patrons.
During your conversation, you will be tasked with crafting an advertisement speech for the event. For optimal impact, select the following three lines when prompted:
- “Like nothing you’ve ever experienced”
- “Soothe your body and soul”
- “Feasting, dancing, and singing”
Your next responsibility is to act as a town crier, making announcements about the celebration at four designated locations throughout Kuttenberg.
Make sure to save the fountain near the church for last—delivering your announcement there will lead to a confrontation with a disgruntled local who takes issue with your “immoral”promotion.
You can choose to either pass a challenging speech check to de-escalate the situation or engage him in a fistfight. While Betty may frown upon the violence, it will not impede your quest progress.
To avoid complications at Vintner’s Street, you can quickly exit the area after making your announcement or fast-travel away before anyone approaches you.
The party itself becomes a roaring success, but the aftermath is less than glamorous. Following a rude awakening courtesy of Betty’s broom, you will be instructed to clean up the bathhouse while she buys time to deal with an alderman who is there for an unannounced inspection.
This part of the quest is time-sensitive, so you must act swiftly to clean the space before the alderman arrives. Failing to tidy up in time will result in his displeasure.
Hiding the Inebriated

Your first task involves relocating four intoxicated guests scattered in the common area.Carry them to an upstairs room where they can sleep off their hangovers, ensuring they are out of sight from the inspection.
It doesn’t matter which room you choose, as long as you can close the door to keep them hidden.
Tidying Up the Tankards

Your next task is to gather the leftover tankards. There are a total of six tankards to find: four in the common room and two near the bathtubs. Make sure to collect them all before proceeding, as you won’t need to return them later. Consider selling them for some extra coin!
Be cautious, as stepping outside will trigger the alderman’s inspection; stay indoors until the bathhouse is completely clean!
Collecting Dirty Laundry

As you clean, you also need to pick up five items of dirty clothing. In the main area, you’ll find one towel, while the bathtub room contains two shirts and a pair of pants.
Scrubbing the Floor

Finally, clean up the floor by interacting with a vomit stain near one of the bathtubs. No broom is needed—simply approach the mess and follow the on-screen prompt.

Once all tasks are completed, wait for the alderman to conclude his inspection. As long as the bathhouse is clean, he will leave satisfied. Afterward, converse with Betty, who will reward Henry with 100 groschen, a permanent discount at her baths, and provide a helpful boost to your reputation.
