This quest will require players to interact with Zizka’s associates, including the character John of Liechtenstein.

As players navigate through the narrative, they will find themselves in the heart of Kuttenberg city. It’s important to note that “Into the Underworld”can be a puzzling experience, differing from the prior missions, as it introduces more complex challenges.

Initiating Into the Underworld in KCD2

Your adventure in this quest begins once you successfully rescue the Dry Devil during the “Speak of the Devil”mission. Upon returning to the Devil’s Den, Zizka instructs you to check on Katherine, who is currently employed at a tavern in Kuttenberg city. Head to the designated quest marker to converse with her, as she holds crucial information regarding your next steps.

Katherine will inform you about a man named Goatskin, who could potentially lead you to Liechtenstein. However, locating Goatskin is no small feat and will require some effort.

This segment of the quest presents some challenges. Prior to proceeding, it’s advisable to enhance your speech capabilities in KCD2, as many conversations are imminent, and your persuasive skills can significantly impact the outcomes.

Katherine will guide you to a tavern named Hole in the Wall, situated in the southeastern part of the city. Upon arrival, you’ll need to impress a man named Chenyek, as he guards access to crucial information. After entering the tavern, engage in conversation with Chenyek. You have two options: intimidate him, or pay him 200 Groschen. If neither works, he will challenge you to fight Goliath located in the back room.

After successfully defeating Goliath, Chenyek will reveal that Goatskin no longer frequents the tavern due to recent trouble with some locals. For a quicker lead, you can seek Madam Beata at the City Bathhouse. She’ll inform you that Goatskin has a history of robbing wealthy Germans and will mention another individual named Udo, who can be found at the City Bathhouse in the evening.

Your next step involves setting a trap to catch Goatskin. This requires convincing Udo to return home early. If successful, follow him to encounter Goatskin in the midst of a robbery.

If dealing with Udo isn’t preferable, after meeting Chenyek, head to the backyard of the Tailor’s shop, and look for a damaged fence. Climb over it, access the barn, and head upstairs. Cross the barn and exit to the open area, then jump over the wagon to find Goatskin. Be sure to have additional Groschen handy in case you need to negotiate for information.

Meeting Samuel and Infiltrating the Antisemites’ Gathering

After locating Goatskin, he will direct you to a man named Samuel, who is situated in the Jewish Quarter of Kuttenberg. Navigate to Samuel’s location as marked on your quest tracker and engage in conversation with him. To proceed, Samuel will require your assistance in infiltrating an antisemitic group. Comply with his request to advance the story, and be prepared for a cutscene that will trigger once you arrive at the specified location after 21:00.

Upon arrival, you will encounter two assailants intent on ambushing you. Defend yourself against them, and after defeating them, a further cutscene will unfold where Samuel intervenes to prevent you from delivering a fatal blow. He will then escort you to meet Liechtenstein, concluding this segment of your adventure.
