Miller Kreyzl presents one of the more intriguing encounters during the Wedding Crashers quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Your journey begins with the Materia Prima quest, where the objective is to pilfer a letter from a chest located in Rathus, Troskowitz.
A notable feature of this quest is Kreyzl’s lockpicking chest, which serves as a practice tool. Moreover, engaging with his assistant allows you to acquire some morally ambiguous yet beneficial skills, such as pickpocketing and takedowns.
Once you’ve obtained the letter, Kreyzl mentions an ambitious project: he is in the process of crafting a Golem.
This revelation sets the stage for your next undertaking, Forbidden Fruit, where Kreyzl tasks you with locating a saltpetre pit. The mission is anything but straightforward, as you’ll need to sample the material to ensure its authenticity.
Your primary lead points to an NPC named Bonnie, who resides in Lower Semine and can assist you in identifying the nitre. If you’re having trouble locating her or making progress, here’s a comprehensive guide on completing the Forbidden Fruit Quest in KCD2.
How to Initiate the Forbidden Fruit Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To kick off this quest, you must successfully complete Materia Prima. Upon delivering the document titled “Offer of Hermes Trismegistus”to Kreyzl, you will engage in a conversation where he elaborates on his Golem creation plans and its various advantages.
Select the dialogue option “How about some more work?”, leading Kreyzl to relay his need to find a saltpetre pit crucial for the Golem’s creation. Continue the dialogue and express willingness to locate this pit, ensuring you exhaust all his available dialogue options.
He will instruct you to seek out Bonnie at “The Lair”and advise you to gather some herbs on your route.
Where to Locate Bonnie and The Lair
Following Kreyzl’s directions, head southwest and take a left after crossing the bridge. Follow the D marker on your compass to find Bonnie sweeping the area.
Introduce yourself and express your interest in a saltpetre pit. If you gathered any herbs during your journey, hand them over to her.
Specifically, collect Comfrey, as these are the herbs Bonnie seeks.
Engage her in conversation about the Golem, and if you have some time, continue the discussion to improve your reputation with her. After discussing her dog, Zinek, and Henry’s family, the two will return to the topic of the saltpetre pit.
She reveals that the pit is essentially a mass grave and suggests consulting the gravedigger at the cemetery for further assistance. Although she recommends bringing fresh meat as an offering, you can forgo this step if you wish to save time and Groschen.
Visiting the Gravedigger
Your next destination is the Graveyard, located west of Troskowitz, along the route connecting Troskowitz to Apollonia Rocks. Once arrived, search for Ignatius, either inside the gravedigger’s hut or outside if he’s absent.
State your intention to find a saltpetre pit to Ignatius, who will clarify that this site involves the disposal of carcasses. He will then request your assistance before taking you there at dawn.
Advance time to 5 AM, then speak again to the gravedigger and select “Let’s get going.” You’ll accompany him on his wagon, where you can safely stow your horse.
If your character is fatigued or hungry, feel free to return to Miller Kreyzl’s house to rest and eat. A good strategy is to sleep until 4 in the morning, then fast travel back to Troskowitz, proceeding on foot to reach the graveyard by 5.
How to Retrieve the Carcass from the Abandoned Cottage in KCD2
The gravedigger will guide you to an Abandoned Cottage, stating that he has set a trap for a wolf inside.
Your main task is to retrieve a rotting deer carcass from the cottage.
Exit the wagon and head northeast, utilizing the F marker on your compass to navigate to the cottage entrance.
A wolf may be seen in front of the building. If you wish to avoid confrontation, take a left and sneak around through the bushes to access the back side of the cottage.
You can either attempt to lockpick the door to gain entry, although this might prove challenging. A simpler method is to scale the fence adjacent to the door to reach an open window, from which you can retrieve the deer’s carcass.
After securing the deer, exit through the previously locked door, using the bushes as cover to return to the path and the gravedigger’s wagon.
Protecting Ignatius from Farmhands

Upon your return, you’ll find Ignatius confronted by several men. It’s your responsibility to shield him from their accusations.
Drop the sack nearby and approach the strangers; they will suspect you and the gravedigger of thievery.
This call for intervention involves a straightforward speech check.Opt for “Justice will find the guilty, ”and you should succeed. Afterward, retrieve the sack and return it to the cart, then converse with the gravedigger to receive your second task.
Removing Carcasses from the Farm

This segment includes a pair of tasks, one of which is optional. If you’re willing to forgo some reputation with the gravedigger, you can skip investigating the infection’s origin.
If you choose to keep both tasks, follow marker J to the river and inform the gravedigger about the deceased deer in the water.
Next, follow marker K to the Barn where you’ll find dead pigs. Collect these and transport them back to the wagon.
Once completed, inform Ignatius that you are ready to proceed. He will have one last assignment before guiding you to the pit.
Is It Right to Kill or Save the Dog?
Ignatius will request you to eliminate the greengrocer Veisar’s dog, providing you with bane and some meat to poison.
Dismount from the wagon and follow the M marker east to reach the dog’s pen, where you’ll discover the door ajar and the dog absent.
Search nearby and listen for barking sounds coming from the northeast. Under a tree, you’ll find Bonnie with the dog.
When you engage Bonnie, inform her of Ignatius’s orders. She will reveal that the dog lacks proper care from its owner.
You now have the option to save the dog. Choose “I don’t want to kill him”and allow Bonnie to take the dog back to The Lair.
Locating the Saltpetre Pit and Completing Forbidden Fruit
Converse with Ignatius and tell him that you killed the dog. He will note your nervousness. Select the speech option with the highest success points; for many players, this will be “It was a man in disguise!”Henry will concoct a fictional narrative explaining the situation to the gravedigger.
After exhausting the dialogue options, Henry will mention the tasting of saltpetre. Ignatius will reward you with Knackers gloves.
Descend into the pit where you will have the choice to taste the substance. Henry will ascertain its cold and salty flavor.
Fast travel back to Kreyzl’s residence, and inform him that you have identified the saltpetre pit. He will become animated, prompting you to ask about your reward and his next task.
This conversation will unveil his scheme to steal an important book from Trosky, necessitating the involvement of a lady for his plan to succeed. Thus, you unlock the final quest in his series, Opus Magnum!
