Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Complete Walkthrough for The Devil’s Pack Quest

Quest Overview: The Devil’s Pack in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Following the completion of the Dry Devil mission within the Speak of the Devil quest, Henry enters the Kuttenberg region, where he gains access to two pivotal mission paths. Players can engage in “Into the Underworld”located in the city or explore “The Devil’s Pack”in the adjacent countryside, with the flexibility to complete these missions in any sequence.

The main objective of “The Devil’s Pack”quest is to locate former members of the Dry Devil’s gang and persuade them to join in the upcoming battles. To initiate this quest, players must consult with Kubyenka at the Devil’s Den to gather information regarding the gang members and their last known locations.

Players have the freedom to pursue the locations of gang members in any order, leading to potential variations in dialogue and encounters across different playthroughs.

Matthew: A Key Member of The Devil’s Pack

Matthew's Location in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Henry may come across Matthew, a former member of The Devil’s Pack, naturally as he is frequently spotted on the road between Suchdol and Miskowitz.

To pinpoint Matthew’s exact location within the game, players are advised to consult the Bailiff of Miskowitz for specifics.

As players approach Matthew and his gang, caution is advised, as they are brigands disguised as tax collectors. Despite numerous dialogue options, convincing Matthew to return will not be feasible, and Henry may find himself in peril.

In certain instances, Matthew’s gang might launch an immediate attack, eliminating any chance for discussion, so players should be prepared for combat. Matthew will request payment, and if players have accrued wealth during previous quests, they can opt to pay him 1000 Groschen and leave without further conflict.

  • Alternatively, a successful dialogue choice is “The Devil will have his revenge!”although this relies on having a high Speech skill.

Attempting to intimidate him will prove challenging due to Matthew’s accompaniment of approximately seven armed men.Failure may result in a battle against multiple attackers or necessitate a hasty retreat.

Bohuta: The Reluctant Ally

None
None

Bohuta can easily be located at the church in Grund. However, he has relocated spiritually and is unwilling to rejoin the gang.

Players need not stress over failed dialogues with Bohuta, as he provides invaluable information regarding Ranyek and may also yield a treasure map. It’s recommended to pray with Bohuta and respond with “Amen”instead of critiquing his Latin to enhance the chance of receiving the map.

Ranyek: The Lost Member

None
None

Depending on their storyline progress, players may learn about Ranyek from either Bohuta or Innkeeper Wolfram Raus, who reveals Ranyek’s last known appearance in Bylany. There, the innkeeper points Henry to some dice players who can lead him to Ranyek.

Unfortunately, it’s revealed that Ranyek has passed away. Due to his debts incurred from gambling, the dice players demand compensation from Henry. Though players have several options here, none will aid in the quest’s completion.

  • Propose to retrieve Ranyek for the value of his expensive bow.
  • Offer payment.
  • Attempt a standard Speech skill check, which is relatively simple.
  • Make a challenging intimidation attempt against three individuals.
  • Engage in combat.

If the situation is handled peacefully or Henry prevails in a skirmish, he can locate Ranyek’s bow.

Janos: The Imprisoned Comrade

None
None

Janosh Uher awaits liberation in the Miskowitz pillory, having been imprisoned for assault against a villager. Players can facilitate his release through various methods, including a more honorable approach that boosts Henry’s reputation.

Another option is to obtain the keys from the Bailiff directly or persuade the Bailiff to grant freedom in exchange for healing the wounded villager, Loyza. Successful healing requires:

  • A Craftsmanship skill of at least 17.
  • An Alchemy skill of at least 12.
  • A Marigold DecoctionNone.

To achieve this, Henry should:

  • Assess the injuries.
  • Choose “Maybe a potion will do.”
  • Clean and dress the wound.
  • Administer the Marigold Decoction.
  • Pray if Henry possesses a strong Speech statistic.
  • Conclude the treatment.

Upon discussing with the Bailiff after successfully healing Loyza, Henry must also pay a compensation fee for Janosh, which can be as high as 450 Groschen. However, players can always negotiate for a lower price.

If funds are insufficient, players have the option to return later, since time is not critical for Janosh’s release. However, healing Loyza should be prioritized as it is time-sensitive.

Once prepared, Henry can proceed to unlock Janosh’s freedom using the keys.

Adder: The Final Rescue

None
None

To locate Adder, Henry can speak with Eva, the butcher’s wife, in Pschitoky. It’s essential to gather detailed information from her, as it will facilitate future negotiations. Eventually, she reveals that her husband and his armed associates have taken Adder to hang from a tree.

Henry should immediately ride to the new marker! There are several methods to free Adder, but the following two are the simplest:

  • Attempt the Impression check if Henry’s stat is at least 20. Wearing fancy attire and applying other Charisma-boosting techniques enhances this option.
  • Engage in combat with the local men using the option “I don’t have to explain anything to you.”However, be advised that this may provoke displeasure among the townspeople.

After addressing any disputes with the butcher and locals, ensure to cut Adder down promptly to prevent suffocation. If players have not yet encountered Janosh, Adder will provide information indicating Janosh’s location in Miskowitz.

Finalizing the Devil’s Pack Quest

Completion of The Devil's Pack Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Once all members of the Devil’s Pack, including those who have declined or fallen, such as Ranyek, are located, players should return to the Devil’s Den to report back to the Dry Devil. This can be done before visiting Kuttenberg or after completing associated missions with Katherine.

If the quest remains unfinished by the time of the events in “The Lion’s Den, ”players will be reminded to locate the remnants of the Devil’s old gang.

This will conclude the “The Devil’s Pack”quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
