Additionally, by conversing with Bynyek, a local villager, you can express your desire to minimize harm to the townsfolk, gaining access to alternative gathering locations for supplies.
Exploring Looting Opportunities
To gather supplies, you’ll deposit your findings at the back of the cart your group uses to enter Bohunowitz. If you fail to meet Captain Puta’s expectations regarding the amount of loot, confrontations with villagers may ensue. To fulfill his demands, consider offloading your own unwanted items — such as obsolete tools, clothing, or spoiled food.
As for valuable items, engage with Puta about any expensive finds, but tread carefully if you choose to offer him money from your pocket, as excessive amounts could incite suspicion requiring a speech check. A judicious donation of between 1000 to 1500 groschen will suffice, but exceeding 2000 groschen will necessitate successful persuasion to avoid complications.
If your aim is to maintain peace between the soldiers and villagers, opt to only take food that the locals willingly offer and pay Puta directly to secure a favorable outcome. Although the quest rewards may appear modest, prioritizing your reputation can prove far more advantageous over mere monetary gains.
Gathering from the Townspeople
Within the eastern section of Bohunowitz lies Smil’s house, a prime looting spot. Upon interaction, Smil will guide you to a collection of supplies situated by his door. If you’re persistent, venture around to the barn’s rear for additional resources, where a bag of food awaits.
Smil’s property also includes a locked cellar entrance, accessible either through hard lockpicking or by uncovering the key hidden in his toilet. Inside, you’ll discover a stash of beer, which you can bring back to Puta.
In the northern quadrant of the town, you can also raid Farmer Fowl’s residence, where he will guide you to several supplies positioned by the yard gate. If you find yourself needing more, consider exploring the attic of the barn to discover additional food supplies, albeit at the risk of angering the townspeople.
In the northeastern corner of town, visit Willow’s house to check behind the door leading into his home for yet more supplies.
Encountering the Wounded Villager
Within Willow’s home, you’ll come across an injured villager unable to communicate. Engage with him to assess his wounds through a series of skill checks. To treat him effectively, provide some alcohol or Painkiller Brew, followed by cleaning and bandaging the injury. Aftercare allows for dialogue, where he shares that he narrowly escaped after resisting the soldiers.
Your response can sway your moral alignment: extort the wounded individual, inform Puta of the soldier’s actions leading to unnecessary casualties, or leave him be. Be cautious, as reporting his story could result in severe consequences for the villagers during Puta’s raid.
Wrapping Up the Quest
Finally, make your way to Bynyek’s home, located at the southern end of Bohunowitz. A conversation with Sovka will reveal hidden supplies beneath the window. Should your supply hunt still fall short, you can always explore the nearby forest for graves that may yield additional resources.
Throughout the quest, you possess the option to engage in combat, choosing sides between the soldiers and the villagers. Such actions can significantly impact your reputation and the quest’s outcomes. If a brawl erupts, it’s still possible to ally with the villagers against the soldiers as a valiant choice.
