After you finish the Speak of the Devil quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you can meet Svatava located near the Huntsman’s lodge to the west of Bylany. She urgently seeks assistance because her husband, Mikush, has gone missing, and she needs your help to track him down.
This quest presents various possible outcomes. Depending on your choices, you can earn up to 700 Groschen as a reward. Below are strategies to optimize your gains while completing this optional side mission.
Locating Mikush

Svatava will guide you to Bylany in search of her husband. Before embarking on your journey, it’s essential to talk to her daughter, Vendula. If you succeed in a skill check, she will share that Mikush was last seen embroiled in a heated disagreement over a dice game.

Your next destination is the tavern in Bylany, where Chernik is located. You have several options to extract information from him; you can either challenge him to a dice game, intimidate him (which is usually more effective than persuasion), or simply offer him 100 Groschen to get the details. Once you have his cooperation, Chernik will direct you to Drat.

You can find Drat either sitting at his farm or outside the Huntsman’s residence. To gather information about Mikush, you may need to pass a few speech checks. Ultimately, he will reveal the entire sequence of events and point you toward a crossroads leading to Mesoles.
If Drat tries to withhold information, or if you fail a dialogue skill check, remain persistent.Apply pressure until you’ve exhausted all dialogue options with him.

When you reach the crossroads, be sure to search the ground for clues. You will find a blood trail leading to the west, where Mikush’s hat is located. Continue to follow the trail, which transitions from blood to footprints, ultimately leading you to a bandit camp characterized by a tent.
Rescuing Mikush and His Family

The bandit camp is where Mikush is being held captive. Initially, you must confront the bandits.Defeating one may lead to the others surrendering if they sustain damage. Should you accept their surrender, they will divulge the full story. Your decision to kill them or let them go afterward will not affect the quest’s outcome.

Mikush is in critical condition, and even though you’ll face challenging skill checks, don’t be alarmed if you fail. The key to saving him involves cleaning his wound with schnapps (which can be found by the fire), treating him with feverfew herbs (located at the base of trees to the northwest), and giving him a potion (available inside the tent).Lastly, apply bandages, and if you like, offer a prayer.
There’s no assurance that Mikush will survive his injuries. Fortunately, his fate does not determine the quest’s completion, and it won’t impact the ending either.

Regardless of Mikush’s survival status, your next step is to hurry back to his lodge. Upon arrival, you can attempt to negotiate for the family’s safety. The most certain way to ensure their release is by providing the bandit with a 100-Groschen bribe.
Once the bandit frees Vendula, you have the option to kill him and reclaim your money!
Discovering Buried Treasure

If Mikush survives, he will return when you speak to Svatava again. She will ask you to uncover their inheritance, which is hidden nearby. Journey to Mesoles and head southwest from the quest marker until you find disturbed soil along the treeline. If you lack a shovel, seek out a spade located near a handcart. Digging in this area will yield a chest filled with 600 Groschen and additional valuables worth another 200 Groschen.
There is no reward for returning these items to Svatava. You may choose to deceive her to keep some or all of the treasure, or choose to hand it over. No matter what you decide, concluding your final conversation with her will finalize the quest.
