To use a basic washing spot, players should approach it and wait for the interaction prompt. By pressing the interaction key, a short cutscene activates, allowing Henry to wash his hands. This method effectively removes visible blood from his armor and weapon, providing a minor hygiene boost. However, it does not reduce his Conspicuousness—a stat that determines character visibility, meaning dirty characters attract quicker attention from guards and enemies.
To achieve a thorough cleaning, including resetting hygiene meters, Henry must seek out Bath Services or Launder Spots.
Washing Clothes at Launder Spots
Launder Spots can typically be found near natural water sources, such as rivers, lakes, or ponds. To utilize these spots, Henry needs to possess Soap, an item that can be purchased from Bath House Maids or General Traders.
After ensuring he has Soap in his inventory, Henry can approach a Launder Spot and select the option to wash his clothes. However, it’s worth noting that Soap has limited durability, and the dirtier the clothes are, the more Soap will be consumed during the cleaning process.
Washing the Body at Bath Spots
Similar to Launder Spots, Bath Spots are located near water bodies. To make the most of these spots, players should ensure they have Soap on hand before approaching. A thorough scrub at a Bath Spot will rid Henry of dirt, sweat, blood, and other residue, significantly enhancing his Charisma. Accessing Bath Services
For a comprehensive cleaning experience, players should visit a Bath House and inquire about Bath Services. This all-inclusive service cleanses Henry, tends to his wounds, and offers laundry options. It’s the most efficient way to ensure he reaches 100% cleanliness and avoids unwanted scrutiny from others.
Be mindful, though—this service comes at a cost, typically ranging from a few dozen Groschen, depending on the specific services selected. A basic bath and clothes washing will set Henry back around 24 Groschen, with additional costs for healing services. Opting for ‘special services’ can be more expensive but includes the Alpha Male buff, enhancing Henry’s Charisma by +2. This is particularly useful during quests requiring diplomatic engagements, such as the Wedding Crashers quest.
Additionally, players may purchase Perfume from Bath House Maids to further enhance Henry’s Charisma. Caution is advised, however, as using two different Perfumes simultaneously can have adverse effects, resulting in a decrease in Charisma.
